A class act, who is honest about his career and shortcomings, Steve Perry's voice 👏 will live for eternity.

His voice was going out and he didn’t want to struggle publicly; kudos to him for knowing when to say when; he’s an absolute LEGEND.

One of the greatest voices in rock music, period. I had the honor of seeing Journey during the "Infinity" tour and while we were driving to the show, we were discussing whether Steve could actually hit the notes on the album performing live. Boy howdy were we stunned! He literally had us sitting with our mouths hanging open. I saw them live four times and was never disappointed. Respect, love and deepest sympathies to you, Steve. You are a true legend!

He’s 75 now. Let that sink in. Just remember and listen to the memories the band made.

This is an old interview from 2019. I really wish ASX would put dates on these interviews.

Steve Perry's special talent was his passion that translated into his vocals. This is what separated him from anyone else who tried to come close to his sound.

As a vocalist prime Steve was as good as it got. Some people can sing in a studio digitally enhanced but this brother could really sing. His work with Journey and even his solo stuff will live long after he’s gone. Literally one of the best to do it. Sounds like he’s at peace despite his devastating loss. I wish him well. You’ve touched so many people man💯

I’m 52. This is the first time I’ve ever heard Steve Perry have an adult conversation. Good for him. Health and happiness, Steve…☀️

I love that he mentioned how the alfalfa fields in the valley would cool the asphalt on hot days, and that it brought him back to his youth.

I love this interview. This is the real Steve Perry, not the persona you see on stage. I could tell he was holding back tears when talking about his relatives and his love that passed.

Steve Perry is a real man who has lived life on his terms. At the time he left Journey we were in shock, and could not understand. I am glad he met this beautiful woman as she helped him sort out his feelings. It makes me sad that he only had her for such a short time. Stay true to your feelings Steve, we will always love you.

"When the lights go down in the city" The most beautiful rock and roll song IMHO.

One of my good friends was a close friend of Kellie Nash. About 10 years ago she told me about Steve and Kellie, their relationship, and how Steve was there for Kellie no matter what. It’s great to see this interview and hear about his relationship directly from Steve.
