I think it’s kind of sucks that crime scene cleaning doesn’t get you paid much. You’re dealing with hazardous and disgusting situations, your pay should be reflective of that. Idk where you are exactly but in Texas the average salary for a csc is ~30k which is pretty low considering the things y’all do, but it’s not terrible.

CSC in Ohio make like $30 an hour. It’s a step up in pay compared to my nasty custodial job that pays like $13 an hour. Biohazard cleaning is something I’m definitely looking into with everything being so damn expensive.

trust me, the smell is so awful you'd wish the work will be finish in few minutes. that's why we used sterilizing agent before cleaning the mess to at least reduce the smell😂
