One of the most anticipated horror movies 'Alien: Romulus' lands in theathers today.

It’s very much a sequel to the first Alien, just continuing the story of the Alien rather than Ripley. The ‘Big Chap’, as Ridley Scott called it, the Alien that is blown out of the airlock in the first film, is one of the main story points of Alien: Romulus.

I don’t use rotten tomatoes as a gauge unless the certified is either low and fan reviews high (usually the best movies) or paid critics ratings super high and fan reviews really low (indicative of really bad). Ghostbusters 2016 is a perfect example of how to use rotten tomatoes review metrics

If movies like Jurassic Park have taught us anything, its that a majority of practical effects, backed up by some minor cgi, will always be superior to full cgi. I dont know of any 30 yr old movie that holds up as well as that

Dude it even brought back the "practical effects" of the old-school tech. Every computer monitor must have been from the first movie. It really set a unique atmosphere with these background details.

It may not be my number 1 in franchise but I love they use practical eff instetof pure cgi

I like this movie it was good all the way up until the very end in the fourth act and the decision that was made. For me it was a 7.8 out of 10. a definite step in the right direction for this franchise. Please forget about the Prometheus engineer portion of the series. Make it about the Xenomorph insect extermination.

It was really good. It paid call backs to both alien and aliens as well as little Easter eggs to alien isolation. Absolutely worth the rotten tomatoes score and easily a move that can be rewatched many times
