Palpatine's Point of View of The World Between Worlds CANON

The world between worlds in Star Wars Rebels (canon) made us realize that there exists a time and space in Star Wars where all events in the galaxy at any time can be seen or heard. Ezra grabbed Ahsoka as she fought Vader and saved her through the portal.
Palpatine was able to open the portal, somewhat, and reach into it with the force after using some Sith sorcercy.
Here are Sidious' thoughts on the world between worlds in canon, from Episode 9 Rise of Skywalker.

I feel like the World Between Worlds has so much untapped potential. It could honestly be the focal point for a What If style Star Wars project.

Vader: If I had a nickel for every time a Jedi disappeared before I could kill them, I'd have 2 nickels.
Which isn't a lot, but its weird that it happened twice.

I would love to see a whole film or series based on sith training, like Palpatine with Plagueis, or even Revan and Malak. It could have potential if done well

It’s about time we hear more about this. We haven’t really gotten any info besides the episode in Rebels.

Ahsoka dying was never retconned because even in the episode where she “died” a figure which we now know was her is seen going back into the temple after Vader exits. They planned for her to live all along, whether it be how they did it with the world between worlds idk

Ahsoka dying wasn't retconned. Dave planned it out and had it so that ahsoka never died. There wasn't a time line in Which she was killed. She was almost in a time loop of sorts, she always gets saved by Ezra and walks down the stairs on Malachore

"No one's ever really gone." This is LITERALLY TRUE! In star wars, there are so many ways to cheat death... I can almost see Plaguies rolling in his grave that he missed it all!

Actually, Ahsoka’s death wasn’t retconned. Towards the end of the season two finale of Rebels, we see Ahsoka talk back into the temple after the fight. Same thing happens when she escapes the World Between Worlds! :)

Imagine if Anakin/Vader were to find this place around the time of revenge of the sith since he was trying to find a way to keep padme from dying and save her instead of trying all those other methods he tried doing as Vader.

Glad we’re getting more sith related stuff

I mean Dave and George created this whole concept and yes, it's dangerous to use it but if it's in the hands of Dave only, there won't be any problem because he knows how properly use it as an interesting plot point without ruining the star wars experience as a whole
And also there was no retcon to Ahsoka's death, Dave had planned the entire thing
Much love ❤️

If we have a young Palpatine emerge I would love to see Tom Hiddleston play him.

This thing of removing characters from their timeline is something that even Ahsoka says to Ezra that it can be dangerous when he sees the portal to the moment Kanan sacrificed himself, although its was just an illusion of Palps. Ahsoka was meant to be removed at that moment and still she was smart and knew that she shouldn't change the events after the second season of Rebels.

The interesting thing to note is that it says this connects the living and the dead, not complete mastery of time. It's also important to note the two events seen in these portals was Ahsoka's moment of death and Caleb Doom's. That itself confirms what is stated in the book, the Realm Between Realms only allows you to change events by undoing a person's death.

We already know that a person's death causes ripples through the Force which transcend time and space. Anakin sensed Padme's death long before it happened, Yoda felt the death of Jedi from the other side of the galaxy and Force Ghosts can appear anywhere without seemingly needing to travel.

Therefore, there must be a place, a conduit, through which this Force energy travels for all these things to be possible but it takes a phenomenal release of Force energy, such as that released upon death, to open the way.

I’ve been listening to Plagueis on audible recently, currently on chapter 21, listening to how Palpatine evolved from meeting Plagueis to being his apprentice is quiet an arch. Plagueis MOST DEFINITELY deserves a show but I don’t think Disney can handle a story being that dark.

I don't think the World Between Worlds is going to be used to change events, Ahsoka wasn't shown to be dead after fighting Vader, I'm pretty sure it's the type of time travel where if someone was ever going to use it then their actions would have already been done in the moment. If someone wasn't saved through the portals, then that means someone in the future never was going to save then. It's a different time of time travel than Marvel's if that's accurate and honestly I'd prefer that if true since no events we've already seen could be invalidated then.

I originally hated the World between worlds.. but if it sets up the filoni verse to get rid of the sequels im all for it

I'm not a fan of time travel in Star Wars, but I admit it's a way to make stories in alternative cannons, like films or animated series for the EU, and even making Lucas's version of the the Sequel Trilogy.

As Palpatine was plummeting to his death down the reactor shaft… I wonder if he thought to himself…
“I probably should have been a bit nicer to that Bridger fellow. He sure would be helpful right about now!”

I'm surprised Vader never looked into this more in order to fix his mistakes, kinda like once upon a theory but more serious lol
