SPACE OUT THE MEALS FOR 4-5 hours (just water between meals)
Get some ginger with or after meals
Not stressing (it shouts down the migrating motor complex)


IF is useful
Not drinking teas or coffe is better for that "true fasting" and really stimulating that mmc
Not eating sugar is better cause youre not feeding those bacteria
Deep breating makes us less stressful so its better for mmc

Please add a disclaimer for people suffering from restrictive eating or eating disorders. Bloating in recovery from this is normal. DO NOT stop eating meals and snacks because some nutritionist on YouTube told you to. This kind of bloating is the body readjusting to food again and in order to make it go away, you have to EAT, not restrict.

I just discovered your channel a few weeks ago and I love it! I can’t stop “nerding out” to it. I have learned so much from you and implement a lot of things you have talked about. Might I make a small suggestion though, I have discovered within a couple of your videos your background music is a little too loud and distracting for me to hear all the important information that you were telling us like in this video.
I want to be able to soak up and utilize all the good information that you have to give but when the background music is too distracting I find that I have to switch to another video. Thank you for all your information and please keep educating us, we need it!

thx so much for this! I've struggled with bloating for years and recently have tried to fast at least 12-14 hours everyday (kind of hard to go further with family). While I've kept a consistent eating windows, I haven't made sure my meals are four hours apart! def gonna try this

Thanks for this video! I've been on IF for many years, and when I'm fasting I feel great, but when I eat I become bloated right away. I try to avoid many food that make me bloated, like lactose, legumes, onions... but sometimes it's not enough. And it's no fun to think about peanutbutter without thinking about the consequences, but oh well.

My intermittent fasting has evolved into something unusual.
A year ago when I started, I was doing strictly 14-16hrs of complete fast (water only) with small Lunch + a light snack + small dinner within the remaining 10-hour-period.

Nowadays, I do 18-19 hours of complete fast (water only) with a tiny lunch + a 2 course dinner within the remainder 5-6 hours. I only feel hungry 2-3 hours after I have had my tiny lunch. But by then, it is almost already dinner time. Here in Australia, we call it "afternoon tea" (aka the last meal of the day at 4.30pm-6pm).

I’m feeling so frustrated with fasting, every time I try to fast I get severe bloating that keeps me up at night. I’ve tried drinking ginger and ACV and they don’t help.

I do intermittent fasting and don’t see how I can space my meals 4-5 hours in the window of hours I eat. Is the MMC daily three times a day more important than intermittent fasting? Which is my priority or should I do switch off, fasting one day and focus on MMC the next?

My stomach expands every time I eat or even drink water. I don’t think it’s bloating but it could be? Is that normal?

My evening meal is around 6 pm to 6:30 and then I don't eat again until 8/8:30 am the next morning. Is this considered intermediate fasting?? I'm new to this

Alignment Monkey says rib breathing stimulates the colon. If I do a lot of breathing exercises at night, I get a nice bowel movement in the morning.
