As a former EMT, the screams may be awful to listen to but man, they're a wonderful noise, because you know your patient has an airway and he's breathing 💔

"Don't touch him." "I gotta get him. I gotta get him." You could hear the compassion. Not even a hint of fear. Bold and brave. That's a hero.

They held that poor boy so tight while he cried; you know this wasn’t an easy one, but those officers did a DAMN GOOD JOB saving him.

This happened in 2022, the boy survived and the officer recieved a medal of valor for his heroism.

Edit: both the officers got medals. No idea what happened entirely but the boy grabbed a downed electrical line and that's when he's found in the middle of the road. Haven't seen an update since.

No one is talking about the officer to his left who said "I'll go with you " and went in with no hesitation. Bravo

That cop didnt take any longer than 5seconds to think and decided his life was worth risking for this young boy. I got nothing but respect for this officer.

As a pediatric ICU nurse, that was really hard to watch. The way he was crying, that's called a neuro cry. People cry like that, a high-pitched cry that sounds like a bird screeching after their brains have been injured. Those police officers, especially the one that put his life on the line, are heroes 👏 🙌 ❤❤👏👍👍🙌

I know some people might think it's horrible to hear the child screaming but trust me, as an EMT it's music to our ears. It means that they are breathing, and their airway is not compromised. Glad these officers were there to help him and transport him to get medical help.

An officer lost his job recently for transporting a 2 year old burn victim to the ER in his police car. Which is the saddest thing for such a hero. When someone goes above and beyond for our children, they deserve respect .

The fact that they sat with him in the back seat instead of waiting for the ambulance warms my heart. We need cops like these to be leading the force.

As an electrician, what that cop did took unbelievable courage. Bravo.

As a firefighter, I respect these officers SO much. I don't know many people who would've taken this massive risk. This is what heroes are.

I love how he said “I gotta get him, right?” But he literally wasn’t asking anyone but himself and he knew it, nobody said anything and he answered in his own head “obviously!” Exemplary example of a good human being right here

The officer caressing the boys hair says everything you need to know about his character...how compassionate he is

I cried uncontrollably when the officers held that screaming child on the way to the ER. I'm so touched by their commitment and heart. You gentlemen are in my prayers.
