Bodycam footage shows police rescuing a woman being held captive in the second-floor bedroom of a Kentucky home on August 16th. Officers discovered Jonna Wilson with a chain around her neck, locked with a Masterlock, and bolted to the floor after witnessing her break a window. The Louisville Metro Police Department arrived at the scene and entered the residence.

Upon entering the bedroom, officers found Wilson restrained and proceeded to remove the chain and lock from around her neck. The Louisville Metro Police Department arrested Moises May, Wilson's estranged boyfriend, and charged him with kidnapping, wanton endangerment, assault, among other charges related to the incident. The Law&Crime Network's Sierra Gillespie provides details on this case.

What’s horrifying is how many people are trapped like this in someone’s house and people walk by everyday… horrifying. So glad she was rescued!!!

It breaks my heart every time I hear a victim apologize…. I hope she gets the help she needs.

To hear a victim cry and apologize is so heartbreaking when there is nothing to be sorry about.

It's not normal to barricade your doors and windows. If your neighbours do this, they are hiding something/someone.

Her saying "I'm sorry, sir" absolutely tore into my heart. I hope she gets the love and support she needs to feel her true worth.

Honestly.. im so glad they didn’t ignore her screams. People tend to just oversee when they hear people screaming in their own homes.. I hope she heals from this trauma 🥺

I hate to think how many people are kidnapped like this lady, and none of us know. This lady was very lucky to have been rescued. God bless her.

The scary thing is, there’s probably thousands of poor people chained up in houses across the country.

She has no reason to apologize she is the victim and a survivor. The person who called it in, police officers, and firefighters saved her life. Hope her and her family are doing well

Those are not hedge clippers they are bolt cutters. Hedge cutters do not cut through metal.

What excellent neighbours who heard her screams and called the police.
Glad this lady is free.
May she know how valuable she is and find peace from such an horrific situation. 😢

This actually made me cry. Her desperation is palpable. She is so brave to have kicked that window out and start screaming. God knows what could've happened if those neighbors had chosen to ignore her. God bless and keep her and the neighbors who did the right thing. Big 👍🏻 to the cops and other First Responders for getting that chain off of her quickly.
