Police save 8-year-old boy from live wire | FOX 5 News

A group of Michigan police officers have earned honors for their heroism for saving the life of an eight year old boy. Police say the child got shocked when he came close to a live wire. The video in this story may be disturbing to some.

My heart was in my stomach watching this. As a mother it’s your hope that someone saves your child in an emergency. I hope the boy is ok.

That was the longest 4 minutes I even sat through. Must have been eternity for this poor poor child! I hope he’s ok and would like to hear a follow up! Hard to hear him screaming in agony in the back of that patrol car but it meant he was alive and coming to more and more enough to react to the trauma. I really hope he makes it through as fast as humanly possible to a full recovery.

It would be tough to get the sound of those screams out of your head. People rarely talk about the PTSD almost every first responder has. They deserve a lot more help and understanding than they get. You have to remember they take this stuff home with them. It ain’t easy for them or for their families.

I shed some tears, i have a 9 year old son, God bless all these officers that saved this boy's life🙏🙏 and all those other officers that blocked traffic so that these officers could get that boy fast to the hospital. You are all Hero's and so brave. Thank you all
