Understand that by lowering down to the base of your sternum and then back up (into balance over the shoulders at the top) the bar will naturally take a bit of an arcing path. I like to think of it as pressing the bar up a ramp back over my shoulders. 📐↖️

At 67 this helped me. Only thing is, I can't arch my back like that so I put a small throw pillow on my bench. It worked!

The longer videos usually also explains what not to do, and why you shouldn't do it. Explains about mistakes that causes injuries etc.

Another tip: when you press up it's generally better to first move the bar towards you and lift simultaneously, creating the opposite of the movement when you lower the bar. It sounds confusing but Jeff Nippard explains this very elaborately.

Guys, remember that the arch is not important, the important is pulling your shoulder blades back which creates that arch, dont just arch your back and call it a day
