Do I have to squeeze my Glutes at the starting position? Or should I squeeze them when the bar reaches my knees?

I keep my back straight, but I never feel glute activation. Now I will follow your advice, but can you tell me, which muscles compensated for inactive glutes?

This is super duper helpful. I thought this was gonna be a generic video with generic information. But this is great, thanks a lot. Btw, if I do weighted Bulgarian split squats, would that be better for my glutes than hip thrusts?

This video showed how to activate glutes not really how to when dead lifting. Was looking for dead lifting demonstration on glute activation.

Hm, does this explain why I have insane DOMs in my lower back instead of my glutes then? I'm totally new to deadlifts.
