When covering French Lick Springs Hotel the video shows a couple images of the unmistakable dome of the nearby West Baden Springs Hotel, which is very briefly mentioned as a rival establishment. Haunted or not, the French Lick/West Baden area is a nice place for a weekend visit, besides the historic resorts there's a scenic railway, a casino, a winery & distillery & Patoka Lake & Spring Mill State Park aren't far.

I'm surprised the Willard Library in Evansville wasn't mention.

I've lived in Indiana my entire life and I've passed by that Avon bridge and when I was little I never understood why people would honk so thanks for the information 😂

I've lived in Indiana for most of my life. Of the 7 or 8 girls I've dated (including my now wife), I've been to dozens of supposedly haunted places within about 3 hours of central Indiana. Interestingly, there was only 1 place where I've experienced weird stuff (not necessarily "haunted" per se) that was difficult to explain but it wasn't any of these tourist traps shown here. It was at the house that my wife and I rented in my junior year of college in Bloomington. It was about 160 years old and was situated in the area just north of the campus. The house had one of those stacked washer/dryer combos tucked beside the kitchen. On a couple of occasions, she and I separately had been doing laundry when the washer randomly stopped. Each time, our malamute/shepherd dog would look towards the kitchen and start quietly making a growl or ruff. When you turned the light on, the lid to the washer (which was on the bottom and the lid would latch onto the bottom of the dryer to hold it open) would be latched open in the middle of a wash cycle. I just chocked it up to the lid bouncing up and latching itself but it would have taken a good hop to do so, though it was physically possible.

I think people who live in a sleepy Midwestern state get bored very easily and try to find reasons for excitement. There's all sorts of stupid legends (which I'm sure are similar to other stories in other areas as people aren't typically all that creative) that people tell which makes the less intelligent just believe whatever they're told. I think some of the history behind many of these legends are interesting and have considered doing a video blog going to these areas. Maybe once my wife's broken leg is fully healed we can do a bit of this as an interesting hobby which will get the stories of local history out, if nothing else.

hannah house. it’s a little bit south of indianapolis and it’s rich in history for sure. the most i know about it is that it was apart of the underground railroad and the basement or more like a storm shelter at the time was filled with hay and they believe a lantern fell over and caught fire. slaves who were staying there stayed down there to hide during the day and about six of them died down there. i went there and saw odd things. must visit if in indiana

indiana really has some haunted and scary places, im from Bloomington (more near Solsberry) but i went down too bedford too stay with my cousin and we went too this sketchy cornfield and were looking for this haunted huge wooden bridge and we found it, had a huge wooden covering thingy above it, and inside is COVERED in spray paint. apparently a girl drowned at that bridge (theres a huge raging river down below) and when we went there we didnt have any particular ghost sighting or anything but we could definitely feel the presence of something watching. its honestly more scary too know a ghost is sitting there doing nothing but watching you, rather then making noises and knocking things over

There is a historic canal town, named Metamora. Many of the buildings are haunted, but nothing malicious is there. And there's something about the town where, after you leave, you have a strong desire to go back.

I'm surprised Willard Library didn't make the list. The Grey Lady is basically Evansville's mascot.

They didn't say where these places are other than Indiana. And they left out the Willard Library in Evansville and Hacienda at 100 Center in Mishawaka. 👻 🏡
