I’m from Corpus Christi and I remember always being told about the “blue angels” and it was always fun to see.

The USS Lexington was part of the Pacific Fleet during WW2.
It never fought in the Battle of the Atlantic.

I remember given a double take when I visited the Lexington. It was when they were fixing a part of the ship that had been torpedoed or had a plane crashed into it. I thought I saw a shadow sailor inside the hold.
