as a person who grew up there, hearing "Mackinack" hurts. it ends in an "aw" same as Mackinaw City, which is nearby.

I love it when a non Michigander tries to pronounce Mackinac which is actually pronounced as Mackinaw.

I can tell she’s not from Michigan because she’s miss pronounced a lot of the names of cities. But it’s ok, some our cities are pronounced differently than how they a spelt.

On a side not, I learned some new spooky places from this list. I need to investigate! Definitely a good video! 😁

It's pronounced (Mack-A-Naw) I know it's spelled weird but that's what we Michiganders call it.

As a resident, I can confirm all these stories are definitely talked about. Although, the information given here on this video (albeit fun and interesting) is also dramatized; maybe a little over exaggerated.

I'm a Michigander too. I've always wanted to visit some of the haunted places, so I knew some of these. Love hearing the back story on them.

Speaking of the Mackinac without mentioning the movie "Somewhere in Time"? Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour made a lovely inter-dimensional couple.

I can see the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island from my house. My cousins husband used to work for a local plumbing/excavating company. They were doing some work in the basement of the Grand Hotel. They were digging and uncovered a skull and some more bones. They were told to rebury it and not to dig in that spot anymore. It's not uncommon for old native graves to be uncovered doing utility work in the area.

As a Michigander, the pronunciations are rather painful to hear, but it's understandable that non-natives wouldn't know how to pronounce the names. That being said, I've stayed at Terrace Inn twice. It's actually a wonderful place! Didn't have anything happen while I was there. Seul Choix is a lovely place to visit! There are books featuring the hauntings there. The Island is another wonderful place to visit! Too expensive to stay on. Never stayed at Holly Hotel, though no one is staying there now. Hopefully, it'll be reopened some day. As for the last one, I'll have to check that place out!

4:19 ……it’s not called “Mackinack” it’s called “mackinaw”. As a Michigander this hurts. If you don’t know how something is pronounced, search it up. It’s that simple.
