Muriel Calder of Cawdor's story is NOT what you claim! Her Father was a Calder and her Mother a Rose of nearby Kilravock Castle. Muriel's maternal grandfather was her guardian, as both her parents were dead, and she was an only child! ( a rich child ) A gang of Campbells from Argyllshire were in the area, and liked the lands! They kidnapped young Muriel, who had beautiful red hair, and her grandfather lost the fight to free her! John Campbell told Hugh Rose that Muriel will always be near Lochawe, as there were plenty redhaired lassies there too, and he cut off Muriel's pinkie as well. The Campbells made it back to Kilchurn in Lochawe, and when Muriel was old enough, she and John married and were very happy. This is how the Campbells became the Earls of Cawder, and still live there. John Campbell however was not so lucky, as he was shot at Knippoch on Loch Feochan's shore, while he was eating dinner! Muriel had plenty sons and his death was avenged! All this took place around the early to mid 1400's! Always beware of telling sories/legends, and try to find out exactly how the story came about! Old calliachs can tell tales stranger than you could ever dream of!!!! Tich.

You left out Fyvie and Glamis Castles.
At Mary King's Close, the spirit of the little girl may be appeased by leaving behind a small doll.
Her ghost isn't the most malevolent one. You didn't mention MR.BOOTS.
The story I've heard is that he, originally, was a cobbler, caught a disease, and died in his cubbyhole/living space/workshop.
He doesn't care for visitors seeing his space, and, will punch, push, pull, or, scare the hell out of people.
You'll hear his heavy footsteps before you encounter him. 😱😱😱✌✌✌✌

I have been to Scotland It is a Beautiful country BUT there are a few places I never want to see again especially at night!
Such as "Bloeskine House" on the shore of LockNess in Inverness Scotland.
A former owner was Aleister Crowley.!!! My parents took a side trip when I was young to see the famous Loch and the Serpent that lives there. but part of the tour in the evening was to see the ruins of the former manor - Definitely creepy. It is now restored and will fully re-open after you know what.

That last one bothers me. It’s one in the column for yes, to the question of whether or not when someone dies, do they move on in the state they were when passing. Doesn’t bode well for me. I’m depressed now.
