I live just up the street from TALA. It's so cool inside, and my grandma was a nurse there during it's operation. The second building on the side of the property is used for a haunted house every October. I work there during spooky season. That building has it's own ghosts, a tall shadow man we call speedy Steve and a lady in the basement who is malevolent and makes people feel intense rage.

I've been there. I arrived there a few years ago after dark an my GPS took me down abdirt dead-end road. I turned around an went back into Ohio to stay the night, creepy! I remember when the bridge was out. My Dad was raised in W.VA. seen a lot of weird things on our summer vacation's. But really love the State. 😉

Alternative idea:

Don't avoid Lake Shawnee because it's really fun and they light all the old rides up at night for the tours and stuff.

Also, they have a haunted house attraction on the property and they usually do a really good job with it.

We drive up there from Roanoke, Virginia nearly every year around Halloween.

I'm about an hour away from Harper's Ferry in So. Central PA, I've been to Harper's Ferry many times and taken my children there when they were younger, I've never seen or heard anything unusual or paranormal while there
