7600X/7800XT is very sweet combo, upgrable on both part without being a bottleneck (unless it's the 7900XTX).
5700X3D/7700XT too for AM4 build.
And on high-end gaming PC 7800X3D/7900XTX

I just bought myself a massive upgrade computer and custom picked all the innards. Thank you for validating my purchase lol. I did some research since it has been several years since I upgraded last. From everything I could find it seemed like the 4070 ti super and the 7800x3d along with a bunch of other high-ish end parts was gonna be the best combo overall when it comes to the kind of content I want to play.

I play FPS and RPG games primarily, so I want raw frames and stability for the shooters and then the ability to comfortably play in 1440p at ultra plus ray tracing for the immersive games. It's gonna be a beautiful beast. And I can't wait for it to get here.

I went against everything I stand for and I'm letting someone else build it. This will be the second PC I have ever had that was not built by me and the last one was a dell desktop and it was way back in 2003 or so lol!

But the reason I let someone else put their grubby mitts all over my new baby is cause I could buy it on credit...
Which is much easier than buying everything separately with a credit card or getting a straight up cash loan or whatever.

It cost an extra 300 over the parts cost, including interest. So, not the worst.

Relatively small payments are just so much easier to deal with vs big purchases all at once.

Anyways, thanks for the video, it makes me feel confident that this will be an amazing PC for me.

Finally a fair take on Nvidia and AMD GPUs! Personally, I do not think that any gamer needs Nvidia, if you are a content creator you need Nvidia. My combo is 7800X3D and 7900XT. It might be nice to see your take on PSUs that you mentioned in the video, brand price-quality performance ratio, DDR5 ram speeds, and CL influence on performance, now when am5 motherboards can do up to 8000mhz.

i am maxing out my old am4:

r9 5950x, 64gb of 3200 cl16 tight timing ram (4 sticks), 4070 super (going to swap for a 4070 ti super through a holiday return policy).

no further upgrade path, and the biggest gpu the cpu can do anything with.
