Anyone new looking to build their first PC, I can recommend this channel. Finally build my first PC few weeks ago, CPU is Ryzen 5 5600 and GPU is a used RX 6700 XT 12GB, I probably ended up buying sub-par pre-build if I didn't stumble upon channel like this.

Whenever I buy a new CPU I try to make it slightly overspeced compared to the GPU, that way I can upgrade the GPU another 1-2 times and the CPU won't be a major bottleneck.
I would also strongly recommend to always aim for a bit more performance than you need right now. So basically if you want to play Cyberpunk at 1080p 60FPS, you should probably aim for a setup that can do 80 FPS. Otherwise you're going to struggle to run new games smoothly just 2-3 years down the line, and buying whole new parts every 3 years is way more expensive than spending a bit more for a system that you'll be happy with for 5+ years.

I've bought a 'Ryzen 5 5600X', and a 'XFX Speedster SWFT 210 Core Radeon RX 6650 XT 8 GB Video Card'. £113 and £221. My PC total came to £556. My budget was 600, so it leaves some space for a nice new monitor down the line. This build was mainly based on the PC part picker's budget AMD build, with a cheaper case and more money spent on the CPU/GPU. Thanks for your videos, I've watched a lot of them in the last few weeks to try to understand what I wanted to buy. PS - I really thought the thermal paste would be included in one of the components... not expensive, just have to wait an extra day.

I just got a 7800x3d for $400 and paired it with a 4070 super. It should be good, but wanted to set myself up for a gpu upgrade when the prices go down. $1800 for a 4090 is insane and couldn't bring myself to paying that.
