I got the 5700X3D for $200 and it’s the best bang for your buck budget gaming CPU with an insane amount of output. Mine is paired the the 2080 Ti Extreme 11gb and it’s more than enough.

Got the 5700x3d on aliexpress for $135. Paired with a 4080. It's awesome, no bottlenecks, and this config will last me another 5 years easily. That'll make my motherboard over 10 years old when i consider replacing. I couldn't be happier with the cost and the performance.

I’m running a 6750 XT with a 5800X3D, Switched from a 5700g. Couldn’t be happier, 1% lows sky rocketed, games like Mw2 with a little tweaking im able to get 165fps 1440p Med-High settings

Undervolted and PBO2 on a r7-5800x and you can forget all the newer stuff!

Mine went from matching an i9-10850k to matching a stock r5-7600x in games while still aircooled :)
But also broken the 16k pts barrier on CineBench R23 MultiCore + 1640pts on SingleCore.

I had one of the people I build for ask this question and tbh the 5600 is a good one, but if you’re on a budget and want extra graphics in case your 3060 breaks, the 4600G regularly goes on sale for $100, has 6 cores/12 threads, and a nice 3.7 GHz Speed. I don’t really hear it get talked about a lot in the budget PC community and I think it deserves a little more love.
