I built my new rig last February with an i9-13900k and a 4090. I started getting really bad overheating and instability issues the last few months. This new 0x129 microde code update made the problems worse. Im rebuilding my pc this weekend with a 7 7800x3d this weekend. Should have built it with the 7800 from the start.

To those folks, Intel instability is simply caused by the motherboard Management of Cpu speeds, to those who have 13/14 gen, go to bios and just switch to intel defaults instead of motherboard settings ( which basically unlocked the power and voltage limit for intel cpus, and instead of max 250w Tdp, it reaches 300+ watts )
And updating bios, switching to intel defaults in bios, and slightly undervolting makes it stable.
and don't forget about 5 years warranty, if your cpu is older than 5 months ago and didn't updated bios, Go exchange it for a new one 😉

I have i9 14900ks and a r7 7800x3D.
Both are awesome 😊
i do only gaming and somehow Minor Photoshop work on it, but Photoshop sometimes stutters,
and I have i9 14900ks which is at 6.4Ghz,
anything productive i throw at it, it just do it in couple of moments, and with 8000 mhz oc Ram, it just shines.



{ to inform you guys about instability of 13 and 14 gen cpus, i haven't encountered, and i just updated my bios, And slightly undervolted, and in cinebench stress test, it reaches around 250 watts and 87 c temperature } 😊
