Pure frustration. Interestingly also the screens don't read my drives. Apparently I have to install a firmware update. But they don't have a firmware version for Mac. Their advice was to borrow a computer. Insane.

I own an Eve Spectrum 4K monitor that developed a defect after less than a month of ownership. Two vertical lines popped on the screen that doesn't go away no matter what I did.

After almost a month of long e-mails back & forth like you and posting on their official forums with screenshots of the defect, Eve agreed to have my monitor repaired. They paid for the shipping and repair and I got my monitor back after 2 weeks. The 3rd party monitor repair service Eve contracted here in the US is pretty good & they were able to mix my monitor fast.

But yea, not going to buy from them again. It's much better dealing with bigger brands when you encounter problems.

I was having a horrible experience with my monitor having constant black screens no matter what I was doing on any input, but finally they got their shit together and fixed it when the PS5 VRR update came out. Now the monitor performs great, never updating it again with fear of it being useless again.

Wow. Thanks for the video. I looked at the monitor and was actually thinking of buying one to pair up with an Apple Mac studio.

I enjoy small youtubers like you so much more than the bigger ones. You just can't trust bigger youtubers anymore since there's so much corruption and payed content out there. And you seemed like an actual smart person to listen to.

I am still waiting for my WQHD 280Hz... ordered May 2020, fully paid January 2022. Upgraded to Glossy Coating March 2022... well, i am curious if i'll get my hands on this monitor before the specs are outdated

When buying a monitor like this, everyone should be going into it expecting it not to arrive on their doorstep the very next day. EVE is a small company and I can honestly say I've had a great experience ordering from them. I understood it would take time. There are delays. Nothing is perfect in this world. And what do you know, I'm watching this on my Spectrum. As you are probably reading this comment on yours. People just need patience.

Since the firmware updates this monitor looks great with HDR now on the series X, highly recommended if your playing FPS that can run 4k 120hz.

I don’t know how to get the word out, but people shouldn’t be buying these things. I have one after 8 months and the only port that works is the DisplayPort. That’s it. I doubt I’ll ever get it fixed, all I have is an email chain with someone from Eve (dough) giving me the run around asking the same questions. The worst part of it all, I don’t think it looks that great anyways. There was no point to buying it. I bought a Gigabyte M28U and it’s only downfall is that it can’t charge my laptop through the USB-C port. But then again, my Spectrum doesn’t either and most definitely never will. The M28U looks great, I have them side by side and, I don’t know, they look the same.

I received mine and I am happy with it. I waited roughly as long as you, but I patiently wanted rather than emailing them. The emails would not make it come faster.
