Didn’t Cinderella get married to escape an abusive household?

- Cinderella was forced to become a maid in her own home.

- The magic disguised her entire face so she WOULDN'T be recognized.

- The glass slippers were specifically made for her feet, so even if there was a girl with the same foot size, it wouldn't fit her anyway.

- Charming didn't even know her name or where she lived, he literally had to go off the only thing he had to try and find her.

- The prince wasn't the one going door to door, it was the duke. In the live action, he was there and recognized her voice.

- There's a big time skip after Cinderella gets her slipper back, she and the prince didn't just get married that day.

Stop bashing Disney Princesses for falling in love.

That first one is so true. My dad died when I was 9 and one of my mom's boyfriends later on physically grabbed me and tried shoving things into my hands which I let drop to the ground. I got in the car and cried. Earlier in the night he also chucked his granddaughters iPad across the yard cuz she was "on it too much". Later when I got my first boyfriend and he mentioned "whooping his kids ass" if they were to walk around in a diaper or if they were a girl and walked around without a shirt (we are talking toddlers here) I skirted outta there and was so pissed. I also work with toddlers so this made me so so mad and disappointed because not only mentioning hitting a kid but hitting a very young child for doing something normal for a child their age. It was insanity.

The first one reminds me of a story I read recently, about a dude who went to therapy because his girlfriend told him she found him intimidating even though he NEVER hurt her... he learned that yelling at her like his father has always done WASN'T normal, was NOT simply "letting off steam" and worked to improve his attitude because he didn't want to lose her. They later got married and invited the therapist, though apparently the therapist didn't attend.

My favourite headcanon is that Cinderella's Prince is face-blind. I think the condition is specifically called prospognia or something like that. Basically cannot recognise faces at all.

Although, I agree with the first one the fact that she has thought so deeply about this is concerning. You might need to associate yourself with different people ma'am. You don't have to tell men what not to do. Just leave the situation asap.

The awful part about the first one is while anger issues can be managed you never get “cured”, you just have strong emotions and while you can learn to handle some of it, you can learn when to back away, how to make sure no one gets hurt by your outbursts, you still are human and get angry.

And of course I blame no one for being scared of us, but I just want you to know that, (once we realise we have a problem) we also get really scared of ourselves, we tend to put a lot of emotional barriers and fully isolate ourselves.

Please stay safe and don’t be afraid to flee or call for the police on us if we make you ever feel unsafe or we threaten you in any way. Don’t fight us, let us burn out, Your safety and integrity is the first thing.

But after that, a little compassion can go a long way. Just saying. We don’t choose what emotions we feel neither me or you, is just you never become a monster for feeling.

The Prince met her a grand total of once, at night and when she was in a full glow up from a magical fairy. Even ignoring the fact that the magic was intended to keep her from being recognized, I think we can forgive the Prince for not recognizing being able to recognize a woman he met ONCE.
