️Can it work? Can you really make money simply laying the 0-0 on Betfair's Correct Score market?

--------------------------------- IMPORTANT LINKS -----------------------------------

We look into the ins and outs of a very popular newbie approach which is laying the 0-0 outcome on a football match. This means only 1 goal needs to be scored in order to win.

And with 92%+ football matches having at least 1 goal this can make this approach sound easier than it actually is.

This video covers:

- Quick Demo Of Winning a 0-0 Lay [£50 Profit in 8 minutes]
- Why It Can be a DANGEROUS method to use
- How Most Newbies Go HORRIBLY Wrong With It.
- Whether or not, this CAN be a profitable method?

You will see that although we managed to win £50 for a quick 8 minutes of "work", this is actually one of the pitfalls of this sort of method as it can trick you into thinking it is always this easy.

Then when you see the amounts we have to risk in order to make the profit you might have even more second thoughts.

Watch the full video to get all the details on this approach.

Hope you enjoyed the video. Have you tried laying the 0-0 before? How did it work out for you?

Very interesting psychology. At first I was thinking 'this can be my new occupation'. But then the reality of huge losses kicks in.

I'm currently using this strategy and so far things look good. If 92% of almost all matches end with at least 1 goal, already this is a statistic that can work in your favor. You just need to know the right time to enter during the match when the price is good. Risk to Reward of 450:50 that's just wrong in all dimensions as in the long run, one loss wipes all the hard earned profits as mentioned in the video. Final word, the strategy is very profitable if you enter just at the right price. You wont need to be 100% right all the time to make a profit. All the best.

I am doing such a "Laying 0-0" method since many years. And yes, it can work. I tell you how I do it: First of all, I have a selection process that filters out a lot of games. And - most important - I don't treat it as a bet - it is a trade for me. I have a certain price I wait for till I get into it. That's usually between 10 and 15 minutes 'till I get matched. Goal before that = no trade. And I have a certain trade out price - kind of like with LTD - I always get out when the 0-0 price reaches that price. So I am out around min 80. Goal after that = loss. But this way my losses are almost half of the initial liability, and that's worth the few times when when there is a goal later then my exit point. I will not give away the prices I use and the selection filters. But I can asure you, laying 0-0 can work!

I've done similar but with horse racing; Races with over 10 runners and laying one of the last 3 horses at the highest odds. It worked and I turned 3k into 11k over 2 weeks.... but the stress was very bad. Sometimes I was physically sick before a race because I would be risking 500 to get a 25 win! Eventually lost my stake all in one day. It works but really, I wouldn't want to go through that again!

Risking £400 for a £50 return is too risky

I have done this. Even on your course you say anyone can just lay 0-0. You get games with a high chance of goals being high price on the 0-0 anything up to 40-1. I found value in laying
0-0 in the fist half. You can get 0-0 at half time for around 4-1/5-1. Then I started laying at odds on hoping for a late goal either in the first half market or second half market. The odds go odds on at around the mid way point in the half. I am looking at how often goals are scored in "fergie time" or injury time. The lay price is around 1.10 but how often would you loose before you get a win. Goals are just as possible at the end of the game especially as players are tired at the end of the game.

I've started this as fun side project with about 5€ starting bank, first I went all in, then about 10 - 15 winning bets later I bet half of bank, and later on 1/3. Today, about 3 months later I'm staking 1/4 of my 75€ bank. I choose odds between 15 - 25 with filtering and quick game history research. Up until now I had 7 or 8 losing bets. No long term plan, when to cash out some of the money and no 1000€ goal set. With a little discipline and some luck I think it can be done.

Great video Ben. Yes I have used this strategy successfully, but not often. I try to make sure I choose games where I am certain there will be a goal (so watch the game a bit), the odds need to be right, and the market should offer the best value (just as you taught us) :)

Watch games that are 0 0 at ht and check the stats. If there has been 4 or 5 plus shots on target then lay at 50 mins or so and if 0 0 at 70 trade out for zero gain if late goal but a lower loss if it stays 0 0 . Trust me laying 0 0 at ht or ft will break you in the long run. If you dont believe me then do a paper experiment over 30 games next weekend and watch it dawning on you.

I completely agree that if you lay 0-0 at kick off and hope for the best you will come to grief and certainly end up tearing your hair out. However, the 0.5 goal markets can be traded like the other goal markets. There are very basic strategies that can be employed, for example by waiting a few minutes into the game before laying your bet, giving you slightly better odds than at kick-off. There are also more sophisticated techniques for trading on the goal markets that Ben will teach you on his excellent UFT course, which comes highly recommended by me. Finally if the game is looking flat you do not need to stay in until the final whistle. There are cirmcumstances where you can cash out half your stake if it's 0-0 at 80 minutes.

Thank you, great points and straight to the point, explained simpler.

I would go onto Flashscore for the match. Then press odds. Then press O/U. I've picked a random game: ENGLAND: Premier League - Round 15 (03/12/2019). This is Crystal Palace v Bournemouth. It shows that the bookies think under 3 goals is 1.80, so odds on. I wouldn't be that keen lay that one, with a goal expectation of just 2 goals. But in the Belgian cup the same day you have Antwerp v Genk, with a goal expectation of 3 goals at 1.65, I would be much more comfortable laying that one. True you might not get three goals, but the margin of error seems much better - the odds compilers are unlikely to be three goals out.

Laying 0-0 late IP or Lay the Draw Drip lay your stake in decreasing increments 40% 85th, 30%87.5th, 20 % 90th, 10 % 92 nd minute or increasing your stake from the 85 th minute depending on mentality and match reading teams agressively going for the win.
Expect 5 mins extra time for stoppages, also gauged by watching the match..

Another great video Ben. Personally, this isn't for me. The mental aspect, if the game was approaching 75mins plus, still 0-0 and looking flat would make me a nervous wreck. I will stick with the methods within your football and tennis courses for now. I have plenty to learn, practice and master within the trading way of life. Good luck to all those who have a go with this, I wish you all well.

Laying 0-0 is the most dangerous trade in my opinion I got 8 right and 1 match ended 0-0 and actually made a small loss over all. Real Madrid vs Athletico Madrid ended 0-0 at lay odds of 18! Never layed 0-0 since haha have had a lot more luck with laying 1-0 to the favourite team and also 1-1 draws!

From 160 premier league games this season only 8 have finished 0.0

The 0-0 Correct Score is half the starting odds by half time, so cannot ever see that laying before then is worthwhile!

Enjoy your videos, Ben.
I've tried laying the 0-0 with mixed results.

Would suggest that future videos could look at bad trades that you've suffered. What went wrong. What your emotional reaction was. What lessons you learned. That sort of thing.

This is the best strategy more than lay the draw
