Utah is probably the only state where college students can get a good education without going into debt, which makes a huge difference in success. That is why I moved to Utah: to not be burdened by college debt. I'm planning on leaving once I finish my degree, but I'm not burdened with debt like my friends.
#9 Matter of opinion. Some love it, some are in between (like me), and others find it disgusting. For Nature lovers there is so much more Utah offers than the Salt Lake. #8 Why is this bad? It is so much easier to find places. I found it such a pain in my home state to find an address. #7 Is True for the most populous spots. Just live in other areas. #5 Employment gap is mainly due to the fact that most women choose careers that pay far less.

The street systems is one of the positives to move to Utah. Once you understand it it's simple to find your way and almost any City in Utah. On a related note, I learned in Utah history class, most Utah streets are at least the width of what it takes to turn a team of horses pulling a wagon around and go the other way. This makes many of your older streets much wider than you would normally expect in an older part of town, even in residential neighborhoods.

I live in Utah and it's awesome! I love it here! I may be the only one here who will defend The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and mental illness. First, I would not make fun or say negative things about any religion or anyone with mental health issues. The gospel is perfect but not the members. We are human just like you, we make mistakes. Children can play with any kid of any religious background and color. Growing up, my best friend wasn't a member and my parents let me play with her. In fact, I had many friends not a member and still do. Don't judge us when you do not know us. Mental illness exists in any state. We may be bad drivers, but, we are not crazy! Mental illness can effect anyone. Do not let the negative thoughts of this person effect you coming to this beautiful state.

Lived in Utah for 10 years, lived in 6 different states and been to about every one of them, minus Hawaii and Alaska. I honestly think Utah is America's hidden gem, and if it weren't for the winters I would move back, but I gotta say, you're spot on about the bad drivers. Worst out of anywhere I've been. Absolute morons. Every time it so much as rains everyone just gives up.
