That almost covers everything I love. I'm 75 years old now, and sitting steady @ stage 3 ckd. I have got to do better. Thanks Doc ❤.

I am on a very tight food budget. It isn't easy to buy healthy foods. Thankfully my blood work always says my kidneys are in good shape.

I couldn't believe how much sodium was in a can of campbells chicken noodle soup. I've been having high blood pressure and cutting that out has helped. I get their 'healthy request' soups now and the sodium is dramatically lower.

I eat a banana everyday. I also put them in my smoothies instead of sweeteners😢. I don't have kidney problems though, therefore I might be ok.😊

The first 4 points are good, but the FDA says we need about 4700 mg Potassium every day, but Dr. Mandell claims eating foods high in Potassium is bad for you kidneys. Potatoes of different types can widely vary in Potassium content, but suggestively the average is 620 mg per potato; Tomatoes have numerous beneficial effects including a study showing eating cooked tomatoes at least twice a week lowers the odds of testicular cancer by more than 30%; Potassium intake has been proven to lower blood pressure which is a common issue for overweight individuals (72.7% of all of us) and those in the latter stages of Life (17.3% over 65) and although there is overlap here clearly more than half of all Americans have issues with Blood Pressure; what are we to believe on this 5th point Dr. Mandell is making? How do you know if you are taking too much potassium if you do "not" have kidney issues at this time? How do we know the levels of potassium are excessive and will cause kidney issues? ... test for hyperkalemia?
