For a 36 hour fast, I like to start in the evening so that I get two nights of rest instead of one. I start the evening of day one, sleep, then go all day without eating on day two, then sleep and wake up on day three and can eat breakfast.

I completed my very first 48 hours this past weekend and while fasting I found myself facebooking long distance family how much I love them! I just had soooo much love to share with everyone! 😂

Me on my 30hrs fasting and ongoing for 72hrs fast, not feeling hungry anymore, i have more energy in the gym and mental clarity. .💪💪💪 Hope that i can keep up. .

The only problem I have with fasting is when you get to that time of day when you normally eat. You feel like you should be sitting down and eating. I just get busy doing something. Organizing something, fixing something, cleaning. Just occupy your brain with something else. I’ve done 5 days fasting, and had no problems with that plan.

36 hours is a breeze. I did 24 hr fast last week, and this weekend I did 38 hrs. I wasn't hungry, just tired. I could have gone longer, I just had some food I was afraid would go off and I didn't want to be wasteful. I started on Friday evening at 7pm. Didnt eat all of Saturday, no hunger, just really tired. Then I had breakast on Sunday. After I ate I still felt tired so I slept again. All in all I felt really good. Next week I will try for 48 hrs. Can't wait.

I have struggled so much to lose the weight and I’ve been fasting since June doing mostly 18+ hours. I’ve maintained my weight, but I want to see results so badly!!

When i do 36 hours i feel the same as if i was in a state of nirvana i laugh i dance and i talk all the Time. is this normal?

I was planning on a 48hrs fast but had to break the fast around 36hrs after waking but feeling hot, shaky hands and felt sick to my stomach. However since breaking the fast and returning to my normsl eating, I have been feeling irritated, almast depressed, and have heavy lower back pain while sitting. Is that normal at 44 years old, who does intermitten fasting for about 16hrs almost daily?

Having a fibre supplement like Isabgol just at that point when brain is going awry thinking of food and tummy is groaning, helps to cross the give up curve. And yes sleep is the game changer too

I am a bit confused. I just did a 36hr fast and I have caught the flu. But that isn't my question..Dr. Mindy says in this video to break fast with protein whereas a different video on the 36hr said to break with bone broth then 30 mins later, eat yogurt or sour kraut and then 30 mins later eat steamed vegs and then the protein.

I can't seem to stay asleep, I have tried tea's and pills but nothing seems to help. Even exercise an hour before bed isn't helping.

Dr Mindy great advice because when I do my 3-day fasting I have that moment where I'm kind of hungry around 6:00 p.m. and I just go to bed. Everything's subsides and all is well the next morning. I didn't realize that we needed that much protein when we break. Bigger question how long should I be staying in ketones after the 3-day fast

I just read "Fast Like a Girl"! Thank you for writing it! Amazing book! I just did a 24 hour fast yesterday. I had butter and 4 cups of coffee. And more butter if needed it. Do you think it had any benefit? What if I try the same for 36 hours? I have osteoporosis and know I need the supplements, hormone building foods and protein being post menopause, but also want to lose about 25 lbs of fat to kill a lot of inflammation to help the bones get the nutrients.

That's the problem I have trouble sleeping. Chamomile doesn't work or sleepy teas. They do the opposite.

Dr I lost 40lbs on 36hr fast but when I stop fasting I went right back to my original weight of 240 in about 4 months. Please explain why

I already have LMNT, the flavored ones. I can’t justify buying the raw as I have 3 boxes. Will this negate the benefits of the 36 fast?
