I work at Walmart, this is a complete lie.
If you do this, no one will care, you will not get 50% off, and you’ll look like an idiot if you try explain yourself.

But after “the discount” the screen doesn’t show new prices, it shows the prices for the mini trash bags ($7.98) & the life size doll ($69) marked out- leaving only the hand massager ($32.44), which takes it from $118.45 to $35.12.
Besides, how would the “associate is on the way” alert pop up? My guess is that you have to “X” out the items that would leave the transaction at half price..
Since he didn’t really show the screen after “the discount” you really only notice it if you screen record & play it back in slow-motion bc it’s not very clear at all once he got the “discount” although it was very clear & readable after scanning the items.
So I guess he actually did pay half of the original price, after two of the items were cancelled & removed- not bc of any discounts. 😒
