Enjoy some video clips of John MacArthur at Grace Community Church admonishing any woman who would speak or preach in the Church quoting 1 Corinthians 14: 33-35 inaccurately and we see if he practices what he preaches. As you will see in video clips women are speaking, singing and preaching at Grace Community Church. Then finally we see segments of John MacArthur's Q and A session in which he has difficultly explaining how and why he preaches and that his favorite thing about his ministry over the years has been the friendships.

Nothing like twisting a pastor's words and intentions! Quite the difference in women TEACHING men the Word of God and those giving testimony or singing.

TIM CHALLIES:

John MacArthur opened the Strange Fire conference, and then, for the second session introduced Joni Eareckson Tada as a friend and former member of his church. She was at the conference to share her testimony of living as a quadriplegic who has prayed for, but not received, a miraculous healing. As MacArthur said in his closing comments, if anyone has the faith to be healed, it must be her. In a sweet and spontaneous moment, Joni called MacArthur to the stage and, hand-in-hand, the two sang a couple of stanzas of “O Worship the King” together.

She was there to give testimony. I honor that.

The teaching of St. Paul (1 Cor. 14:34) about Christian women that must/should learn with humility how to KEEP Quiet/Silent in the CHURCH of God in Christ... does not mean that Christian women are prohibited from being Servants/Helpers of the CHURCH... NOPE... that was not what St. Paul had meant... take for example what St. Paul wrote to the Romans, " I (St. Paul) commended unto you PHOEBE our sister (the one who carried the letter of St. Paul), who is a "SERVANT" (helper) of the CHURCH which is in Cenchrea"... (Rom. 16/paraphrase)

Take Note #1:... St. Paul did not say, "Phoebe our sister, who is a of the CHURCH... none of which was mentioned but a "SERVANT"... What St. Paul had meant was NO WOMEN to be the LEADER (Acting Priesthood) of the Church on earth... Christ Jesus is the HEAD (Priesthood) of the Church of God... but before Christ ascended back to Heaven and seated at the right side of the Throne of His Father... Christ assigned first His Apostles (All Men) Headed by St. Peter to be "Christ's Acting Priesthood" to Govern, Lead, and Manage the CHURCH of God until Christ Jesus comes back again, in God's own appointed time...

Christ Jesus did not put "IN CHARGE" any women, including Blessed Mary or Mary Magdalene in the Body of Christ to be the Church's PRIESTHOOD...
But Christian Women could be servants/helpers of the Church or even Prophetess (female prophets) if chosen and decided by God...

Take Note #2:... DEBORAH was the only Female JUDGE and PROPHETESS chosen by God in/for Israel... but she was not chosen by God as a "PRIESTESS" in the Temple of God during the Old Covenant of God... God never used any Women as PRIESTHOOD for His Temple / Synagogue... which is also the same thing with the Second (New) Covenant of God, that NO Women Leader or Acting Priesthood to the Body of Christ (the CHURCH of God)... ONLY MEN can be chosen by God to be Christ's Acting PRIESTHOOD on Earth...That is God's WILL and PREROGATIVES... (hands down, non-debatable).

Therefore, Women can be God's JUDGE or PROPHETESS... but never God's PRIESTESS for His Temple/Church for both the Old and the New Covenant of God... That is what "Silent/Quiet" in the Church is all about... When it comes to Spiritual/Religious Matters... "MAN is the HEAD of every WOMAN"... why?... for God is the Head of Christ Jesus, so as "Christ Jesus is the HEAD of every Man"... (1 Corinthians 11:3/paraphrased)... Facts and Truth, Biblically speaking... Amen.

Take Note #3:... "Judges or Prophets/Prophetess" does not INTERFERE, INTERVENE, INTERCEDE, OBSTRUCT, GET INVOLVE with the PRIESTHOOD duties, rituals, offerings, managing finances (Levitical tithes), and responsibilities in the Holy Temple / Holy Tabernacle / Synagogue or Church of God (Body of Christ)... for both Old and New Covenant/Testament of God...
But the difference between O.T. and N.T., in the Church of God in Christ, women are allowed to freely offer their voluntary SERVICES (help/assistance) in/with total submission and humility to the PRIESTHOOD... plus no more animal burnt sacrifices for the atonement of sins and other Jewish rituals... Amen.

In general, the WILL of God is that the Holy Temple/Tabernacle/Synagogue or Church of God in Christ must/should be governed, led, and managed by Men (Male Hetero-Sexual Gender) of Faith as the Acting Priesthood of Christ Jesus on Earth... with one wife only or by freely voluntary single blessed/celibate men... Amen.

Hebrews 7:12/paraphrased... "But when the PRIESTHOOD was changed, the LAW must be changed as well."... Christ Jesus is the Sole Reigning New High PRIESTHOOD of God...
Glory, Praise and Thanks be to God in Christ Jesus' name... Amen.

1 Timothy 2:11-14
[11]Let a woman learn in silence with all submission.
[12]And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.
[13]For Adam was formed first, then Eve.
[14]And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.

100 years ago most people reading the Bible would probably say women shouldn’t be Pastors or preachers. But now people put on their 2022 glasses and come up with another interpretation of the Bible.

He is not saying women should shut up he is saying WOMEN SHOULD NOT TEACH IN THE CHURCHES

I want to share a story of my own congregation and one woman's place in it.

I'm in a hardline charismatic church with emphasis on healings and prosperity. There's a woman in our church who is the pastor's wife and a worship leader. She doesn't like the former, preferring to be called "pastor". People usually speak of them collectively as "the pastors". Recently a long-time female member publicly called her "pastor's wife", to which she answered she's not. Her belief is that in church they are not spouses but ministers. Her husband defended her and said that in some ways she is more of a pastor than he is, and that they complement each other. In reality, though, the pastor is often eclipsed by her, particularly by her charisma, outspokenness, and control of the situation, being himself a more quiet person. People wonder whether he even makes his own decisions or it is she that calls all the shots. During a service she can spontaneously go into a long emotional talk from the platform, while he's standing there waiting for his turn. When he does come up, he usually has little time left. Sometimes she goes on for so long that he doesn't get to preach at all, and we cut to the worship.

One moment seemed especially disturbing to me. We were worshipping while the pastor was waiting in the wings to start preaching leafing through his bible when his wife took over the service. Suddenly, in the middle of worship she started preaching, then prophesying; then she called people forward and began praying for them, which is fine in itself. However, while the pastor was still standing there she called to him in a commanding tone in front of everyone telling him that he start praying too. That kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

When she's not around for the Sunday service we all feel laid-back and free. Strangely, I sense the same freedom in the pastor's sermons.

When some people in the church confront her about her style, her explanation is that she can't do otherwise because she must obey the Holy Spirit, and then she can turn it around on the person saying they are in rebellion. It's true that some males in our church are in rebellion but there were many seemingly devoted God-loving men who left because of her. Over the years the congregation has shrunk to a third of the size it once was, and many of those who are still there are disgruntled, mostly men. Most husbands don't show up with their wives, and the postures of those who do often betray hostility and contempt. There were times when I approached her with my doubts about her way of running things or tried to defend myself when she chastised me but at the end I just freaked out, feeling like I was proud and disobedient, and then repented in fear.

On another occasion, she and her husband were invited to preach at a conference but the organizers asked her to speak at a separate meeting for women only, as was their policy, at which she was apparently offended as she later spoke openly about it saying that what she was going to preach was so important that everyone had to hear it. Her reasoning is that Jesus always preached to mixed crowds, not to men only. Their interpretation of Paul not allowing women to preach is that by "woman" the apostle meant "the woman that is in us", i.e. or flesh, our sinful nature.

Her theology is what I can put mildly as unconventional and strongly - as controversial. She teaches that asking God for healing is an expression of unbelief, and that we must command sicknesses to go away or order our body parts to be healed, addressing them in second person. She believes that God can't use our illnesses for His work in us because that would make Him a sadist. Most of her sermons, wherever she starts from, eventually come down to the confession of physical healing and fulfilment of material needs. She often confesses her faith from the pulpit declaring her own healing and prosperity. Not long ago she repeatedly proclaimed in church that she was going to keep all of her teeth despite advancing years. Yet, it wasn't what happened. Meanwhile, in the last 12 years six people (about 10 per cent of our congregation) died from cancer despite all the proclamations and confessions.

My frustration has reached a boiling point although at the same time I don't wish to "raise the spear" against God's annointed, at least for the sake of the pastor. I resolved not to share this with people who know her to avoid forming coalitions against someone, and I stay away from talking about it to those who may be feeling the same way. That's why I keep it anonymous. I tried to keep my style neutral to the best of my abilities and to simply lay out facts to avoid exaggerations. So I'd be glad to hear the opinion of an experienced and disinterested Bible teacher, filled with the Spirit, not with disdain for women.

Brother it's not Mac Arthur saying it's the scriptures.
If there is any answer to why women should not rule in either stand leave alone the church even in the secular world is this; this is what God said in the beginning

Genesis 3:16 To the woman he said, "I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you."

So what your seeing out here even in the secular world allowing women to rule and in the so called churches that are allowing women to preach and teach to be pastors is rebellion against God.

Brother let me repeat.
As Mac Arthur as Said it's REBELLION AGAINST GOD

Not one pastor dug more deeply into God's reason why women are not permitted to speak in the churches. If anyone asks me, I will share God's treasure wisdom upon this controversy.

Blessed Mary was and is Full of Grace and a Righteous Person among Mankind till her earthly life... She is the EPITOME (Embodiment) of the NEW EVE, nobody else... Gentle (meek), with total humility of submission to the Church built by Christ Jesus here on Earth for His Father (God) with the Head supervision of St. Peter who holds the KEYS to the Gates of Heaven, given by Christ himself... She was Twice (2X) dwelt/poured by the Holy Spirit (time of conception and during Pentecost/tongues of fire)... Blessed among Women till generations to come...

Take Note #1:... Blessed Mary is not Equal to Christ Jesus, for she was created only... but found (Highly) FAVORED by God... She always will be the Mother of Christ Jesus... The Perpetual (Eternal) Mother of Christ Jesus and of Mankind... according to the Spoken/Oral Tradition of the Early 7 Churches in the 1st Cent. A.D.
Why she is considered "The Mother (New Eve) of Mankind"?... before Christ Jesus died on the cross, He spoke to His mother, "Woman, (Behold) Here is you Son (Apostle John), " and He commanded John, and said, "Son, (Behold) Here is your Mother (Blessed Mary)."... (ref. John 19).

Take note #2:... PERFECTNESS will only come along on the 1st Resurrection of the Dead in Christ Jesus that has not started/begun, yet... the Eternal Souls/Spirits (w/ dead bodies) of the Biblical Forefathers, Prophets, Judges, Priests, Kings, Apostles, Saints, and Martyrs are all in God's hands in Heaven, waiting for that moment... In the Book of Revelation, Apostle John saw the Souls of the Martyred Saints at the altar crying out to God when will God avenge their martyrdoms, and God said, wait for a little while, till the total number of Martyred Saints are fully completed (ref. Rev. 6)... Only God knows how many (full/total count)...

Take Note #3:... when the 1st resurrection of the Dead comes, they will be the first recipient to have their PERFECT IMMORTAL BODIES...

According to Matthew's Gospel when Christ Jesus died on the Cross, the earth shook and the tombs of the Saints were opened and many witnessed them come alive, but this phenomenon was temporary, similar to Lazarus after being raised from the dead by Christ, eventually, he also died again after so many years in some distant place...
The coming 1st Resurrection of the Dead will be a PERMANENT (Eternal) PERFECTION, washed by the Blood of the Lamb (Christ Jesus)...
Praise be to God in Christ Jesus... Amen...

TESTIMONIALS, SINGING AND BAPTISM ARE NOT THE SAME. YOU ARE TWISTING THE SCRIPTURES.
WE ARE NOT TO PREACH. (WOMEN)
WE ARE TO SPREAD THE GOSPEL YES. NOT IN CHURCH. WOMEN CAN SPEAK AND STUDY WITH OTHER WOMEN IN CHURCH. THE WORD IS VERY CLEAR.

Obviously you didn’t listen to his sermon. I think you were putting in your own thoughts instead of hearing what the Bible says. The Bible says women are to be silent in the church. As he pointed out that means being a preacher or pastor, not being a teacher for ladies ministry or getting up and saying something about your testimony. You’re intentionally misleading people and causing strife and hatred. I will pray for you

Regarding Mark 3:21... Analogy... No loving mother with the right mind will ever accept and believe that her biological child/children are UGLY, they will always be Beautiful and Perfect for her, no matter what other people say or claim, logically speaking... the same analogy...

Blessed Mary would never ever think and believe that her Son Christ Jesus whom she believed as her SAVIOR is out of His mind, insane, crazy, or mad... (by man's standard)...
Blessed Mary will always be on Christ Jesus' side, she is totally 100% united with Him no matter what the odds are, all the way... (hands down)... Amen...

Women in church leadership roles or serving as pastors are not the same as women giving testimony or worshiping the lord with their voices.

JM is not being hypocritical. All any Pastor can do is deliver the Truth. They are not in control of the Elect..Nor do they have power over it. Hypocritcal would be, if he ignored the Scripture and pretended it never was. Christ is head of the Church, not the Pastor, , It is any Pastors duty to make known the truth, Even the prophet made known what God called for. But they had no authority to force anyone to obey or keep it.

I like MacArther but you have a point here. Paul said if any man thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual let him acknowledge that the things I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
