It's that! The offense out of the philly is what really makes it special. Ducking, twisting and rolling without the proper punch selection when at those angles is eventually gonna get you cracked like Broner, Teo, Devin, etc. or just looking foolish like Berto, Gatti (RIP), etc

As much as I loved Floyd’s Philly shell I think James Toney’s “shoulder roll” variation of the Philly Shell was the best. I just loved how he was so aggressively offensive out of it and how it was so effective. He was constantly using it to engage and it seemed like he was so efficient with his movements especially when he continued to move up in weight. Now before anyone tries to “correct” me and tell me I’m wrong just keep in mind that it’s my opinion.
