Brain and mind are two different things. The brain is just an interface device for the mind. Thus, if a brain is modeled in the form of A.I., it still will lack soul(mind) until one is introduced to it, perhaps the soul of a demon. Yes, I did see that Buffy episode(presalvation--I wouldn't watch it now). I also had the idea about that possibility long before I saw that episode.

Justin Martyr's First Apology (~155 AD)
"43. So that none may infer from what we have said that the events we speak of, because they were foreknown and predicted, took place according to inevitable destiny -- I can explain this too. We have learned from the prophets, and declare as the truth, that penalties and punishments and good rewards are given according to the quality of each man's actions. If this were not so, but all things happened in accordance with destiny, nothing at all would be left up to us. For if it is destined that one man should be good and another wicked, then neither is the one acceptable nor the other blameworthy. And if the human race does not have the power by free choice to avoid what is shameful and to choose what is right, then there is no responsibility for actions of any kind. But that [man] walks upright or falls by free choice we may thus demonstrate. We [often] observe the same man in pursuit of opposite things. If he were destined to be either wicked or virtuous, he would not be thus capable of opposites, and often change his mind. Nor would some be virtuous and others wicked, for then we would have to declare fate to be the cause of evils and [at the same time] to act in opposition to itself [758] -- or to accept as true the opinion referred to above, that there is no real virtue or vice, but only by opinion are things considered good or bad; which, as the true Reason shows us, is the greatest impiety and wickedness. But we do say that deserved rewards are irrevocably destined for those who have chosen the good, and likewise their just deserts for those [who have chosen] the opposite. But God did not make man like other [beings], such as trees and animals, which have no power of choice. For he would not be worthy of rewards or praise if he did not choose the good of himself, but was so made, nor if he were evil would he justly deserve punishment, if he were not such of himself, but was unable to be anything different from that for which he was formed."

I think that free will is good to those who can use it well but for those who can't or don't not so good.... That's why sometimes I do wish that we were all "predestined" to be saved and for none to perish. And wish that no one could reject Jesus. But then again having a good saving story too...
Someone said that we don't have free will because you are either a slave to sin or to righteousness of God. And when you are in Christ you cannot choose to sin or not able to. But is it more so because you don't want to choose to sin anymore?

It's pulling from info that's out there. If it says "In the end, it's up to you what makes the most sense, " then this is because that's the reality online. People discuss and explore, then they say "I don't buy it" or "I do buy it." If you ask it to role play as a strict Calvinist, it will do. This "position" people read into AI is merely surface-level; introductory in thought. Presenting the mainstream overview. Calling it an Arminian is a bit odd.

I think this AI is pretty darn accurate. Theological systems are man-made and all of them try to make sense of the bible. The bible literally supports both contradictory positions. HMMM?

I think this AI is like a politician, no clear cut answer, but as in the video said, if individual can decide, which one is better for the individual, than calvinism is false.

You ever notice that Jesus spoke to people as if they had a freewill, but then tells them by implication that they don't?

Secularism has a parallell... that freewill is an illusion.

Personally, I beleive that Jesus, when speaking to people as if they had a freewill, is reaching deep into the human psyche into that part of us which is the image of God.

In the garden of Eden that very image was designed to depend and wait upon God. The "test" was designed for "Adam" to detect God's goodness - something s/he was equipped to do. This takes wisdom. Elsewhere in scripture God is pleased when people ask him for wisdom, and he doesn't withold it. But in the very asking is depending. In the depending there is synchronization and submission - which results in "taking God at his word".... and Jesus IS the word - a idea/message and a person who is "the lamb of God".

The God of Calvinism is who the devil would be if he were God not who God actually is.
Arminius was literally a 4 point Calvinist and only disagreed on man's necessity to respond. None of the five points of Calvinism are biblical so Arminius was wrong, too. Calvinists, because they are disingenuous and arrogant and don't care to understand what they don't understand, almost always claim Arminianism is the main alternative to Calvinism which it isn't.
So people can have an Arminian position on the necessity to respond to the gospel and not be an Arminian--that is most Christians and biblical Orthodox Christianity.
People say this isn't a salvation issue but it is because most Calvinists aren't saved or born again. And the ones that are get so deceived into these doctrines of demons that it severely hinders their fruits. It's no different than getting saved and then worshiping Ba'al but calling him God. It prevents them from ever forming a real relationship with the Holy Spirit and instead they are submitted to a religious pride demon masquerading as a counterfeit holy spirit.

What makes the individual decide? We are our DNA and past experiences. Calvinists never say we can’t make decisions. The decisions are just ordained in Gods sovereign plan. Really enjoyed this video though. Quite a fascinating topic!
