The thing is, he does seemingly *know* the basics of PT, but may use outdated ideas, or change things up to get more views and attention.

Not only is this completely wrong, but it’s negligent and potentially harmful.

An isokinetic dynamometer is the gold standard for assessing force production and how quickly you can produce that force, which is vital for reducing the risk of injury.

A single leg squat doesn’t come close to reproducing the forces experienced during sport, which is why knee valgus during a single leg squat is NOT a risk factor for injury (Nilstad 2021, Petushek 2021).

Many clinicians are using the traditional hop tests less (at least in isolation) because research consistently shows that patients may demonstrate symmetry by compensating or unintentionally performing worse on their uninvolved leg (Wren 2018).

And the forward reach is 100% not an appropriate substitute.

Honestly a lot of squat u videos feel like "quick fixes" that don't actually fix the problem. His content is misleading and makes it sound like you can instantly fix something through for example banded hip joint mobilization lol which btw made my hip flare up so much :')

triple hop and forward reach indicate dynamic control, which are notable things to consider for injury risk (ie: if someone consistently drops into knee valgus with forward reach, how would you not expect them to drop into valgus when speed and forces are significantly increased based on sport demand)…

Hi, it's been 80 days since my anterior cruciate ligament repair and my foot still doesn't straighten normally without pressure. Is this a problem and will it cause trouble for me later?

I used to really like Squat U when I first graduated, but I quickly noticed he tends to have very cookie cutter approaches.

Back pain: it always just ends up being a core stability issue and he solves it with McGill big 3.

Shoulder issue? Lock big 3 and banded ext rot.

All this with the blatant click bait of big asses, IDK, he seems like a very average physio.

Very impressed with E3 so far, very contemporaneous with EBP, deep dives on to topics, lots of alternate exercises suggested, breaking down ex. prescription via movement rather than singular exercises.

What is dislike the most about the guy is his obsession with keeping a „neutral spine“ and throwing dynamic core exercises out the window when there isnt clear evidence (or even strong empiric tendencies) which show potential harm to the spine and its structures during load but also that dynamic core and strenght exercis are as effective and may lead to an better adaption coordinatively and structurally to „go into those forbidden positions and movements“…
