Try shorting the two gold connectors on the charging port where the home button flex cable interface is. If that doesn't activate the home function then your charging port is the problem. If that doesn't make sense let me know and I'll find a video or image that shows what I am referring to.

I have an iPhone 5 and do not like the style of the button and was wondering if I could buy one of these replacement 5s buttons with a flex cable to replace it, if I take it into Apple will they be willing to do it for me?

Hey I just changed home button and everything went well and all the wires etc connected but now the screen wont turn on but if I plug in theres a noise can you help.

I did this but my new home button is deeper now, it does work but doesn't click that good like a original
