YES !! 👍 IPad mini in my case, but I do love that home button. I don’t understand why a layout designer would think a device is better off w/o it. It feels so much more intuitive for navigation.

Thank you for this. I did not realize iPhone/Apple had pretty much eliminated the Home button. Mine stopped working a couple of days ago. I activated the on-screen Home button as per your instructions and it's working very well. You saved me a potentially costly repair!

u can use assistive touch but disable all but 1 option and set it to home so u dont have to open the menu and it will always just work as home on a tap - 1 tap home, 2 tap recent etc

Thanks, i picked up a really cheap 6 plus to use as a media player and the home button is temperamental. i now have my on screen home button working.

Enjoying this on My iPhone 6 which I bought for 60 euros with a broken home button and screen.
Replaced the screen for 20 and have been a happy password user ever since.

On the iPhone 8 you get a sort of grey round button, which does not overlap or interfere much with the rest of the screen, so it is an excellent work around, when the Home Button fails to work after a successful battery replacement. Thanks !

Wanna know a free alternative?

Jailbreak your phone and install an iPhone X home bar enabler(or something). I use Neptune for iPhone, which is compatible with any buttoned iPhone. It also has button shortcuts like the standard screenshot shortcut(volume up + power) plus a default status bar theme akin to a notched iPhones. However there's an option inside the tweak that enables the home bar to be visible anywhere but most of the apps I encountered (e.i. Youtube) did not work for this at all, I mean the home bar still functions but it is overlayed on top of the tabs navigation tabs.

Yes I know it will break your warranty but who cares most of us are running used iPhones, anyway
