You've been using assistive touch too long and you're finally ready to repair that home button. Good! Today, I'm going to walk you through replacing the home button on your iPhone 5s. **Please note that only the phone's original home button assembly will be capable of using the Touch ID functionality. Installing a new home button will only restore ordinary home button functions, not the Touch ID features.**

The title says replacing the home button. This is removing the home button. This should have the title changed

I have an iPhone 5 and do not like the style of the button and was wondering if I could buy one of these replacement 5s buttons with a flex cable to replace it, if I take it into Apple will they be willing to do it for me?

Show how to replace the new ribbon! Because sometimes the touch ID don't work, and don't have all stickers glued. You must take it from old to new.

Hi my iPhone 5s screen recently suffered a bad crack and i was willing to replace it. There was no damage to the touch id/ home button, but after i installed the new screen and connected the cables the touch id stopped working. I was wondering why that would happen since its the original sensor?
