I used different approach. I pealed the smaller plastic cover and lead the gasket to the home button while bigger plastic was still in place. That allowed me to perfect fit the gasket without need of this precise work as shown in the video ; that plastic acted as a template. I then removed the plastic and lead it away from home button. Then I placed the home button onto display.

I don't know if that is a proper way, I just wanted to share my approach. Home button fits perfectly and there's no 'weirdness' when being pressed.

Hi, I've just replaced the gasket on my SE home button, however the button feels loos, rocking from side to side and it's protruding from the screen surface. I think I've aligned the gasket properly.
