I've watched a lot of iPhone 5s videos this past weekend as I struggled to attach the home button ribbon cable. Everyone seemed to just gloss over the process and made it look so easy and then moved on. I watched your video and found it very helpful with attaching the home button cable. It was a face palm smacking moment. Every previous video I watched showed people holding the screen directly above the base of the phone. Your video showed you moving the screen off to the side to press in the cable. What was taking me an hour of frustration, only took me seconds. Thank-you. I'm a new subscriber.

Thats not flex cable replacement. You replaced the whole Home Button, and you lose Touch ID functioning

If you replace the home button flex cable and the Touch ID sensor is fine then Touch ID will still work.

I have a 5 SE but the screw on the bottom ribbon cable is rounded off as it is so tight I couldn't undo it, I have tried putting tape over the end of the screwdriver bit but it still doesn undo, any suggestions? Thanks

important thing to note:
make sure you screw in the metal plate that covers the home button in the same way thats done in the video.
Discovered today that my home button eventually broke because the last time i took my phone apart i screwed it in upside down and that caused it to put pressure on the flex cable.

An easy problem to check though, and you should notice if you do it incorrectly the home button won't make the click sound when you press it

My iPhone 5 s will not restore I think the battery might be expired?it gives an error 4013??it almost goes thru the Restore process but stops and flashes back to the iTunes restore screen also only powers on when plugged in???do you think a new battery would fix this problem???Kevin

You never returned to the grounding clip on the home button, finger sensor wont work without it

I've replaced everything the cables all seem intact but my home botton doesn't want to press I have to press it super hard and a bunch of times it doesn't really work, it doesnt click as well I'm very confused what in the world did I do wrong?!

You forgot to screw in the last two screws either sise of the charger hole the charger plugs into!
