Hi Alex. As someone who lives in the Ariege, I am fortunate to spend a lot of time both in and around Andorra. It would be great for others who watch guys such as yourself and the likes of Willi Smit etc, to get an in depth insight into what the area has to offer. Perhaps you could do a video or series of videos on the area, la Seu, the cerdanya etc, showing the climbs, the best routes, cafe stops, hang outs, amateur events, and just the whole Andorra pro vibe that is going on. Keep up the great work.

Amazing content! Since you are asking, how about intervals? Many pro’s talk about their training but never do you see the specifics. I know you posted leading up to your TT but perhaps talk about your preferred intervals on raising FTP and VO2 max type efforts. Cheers Champ

Your beds are a bit too close for comfort. What happens when Brandle steals the covers?

Alex
Interesting content as usual.
Nutrition Pre, During, Post exercise, especially for endurance sports like Cycling, is ALWAYS specifically challenging ‼🏁
We look foward to follow how you and your teammates alter your nutritional supplements needs training vs racing ETC....
What previous nutritional products are you using as a reference compared to Maurtens ?
What do you like about prevoius products you would like to see in current ones, ETC...?

Would be GREAT to hear your reviews on the various gear, kits, Scicon eyewear, thoughts on disc vs rim brakes, ETC in future content

I’m still curious about who makes the ‘apocalypse’ jacket? Maybe the essentials for solo training on Essex roads in winter?

Brilliant as usual, as a none climber how do you prepare for a hilly tour, specific training,
On a climb do you do anything psychological to get you over or is like the rest of us, grovel and cry internally lol

Good vlog Alex! One question I've always made myself. Do you, pro cyclist, really consider the KJ burned and will burn next day to eat? Do you really eat the amount of Kcals you burned?

In the tour of Norway usually there is a prize where you van win your weight in Salmon (when talking about nutrition)...

Hi Alex, thanks for the insights.
You asked for an inspirational question....so, I hope this is inspirational, I currently use an online training system and it along with the competitors has 1000s of workouts. Do you too have an almost infinite supply of workouts? Or do you basically have 6 workouts recovery, endurance, sub-ftp, threshold, VO2 and Neuromuscular and as you move from endurance to sprint shorten the duration as you increase intensity of each interval? Each week do a bit more either increasing duration or intensity but not really changing your basic workout structure from week to week or month to month? OR is there really some secret-sauce you guys have (I doubt this, I think it is just more brutally hard-work of whatever workout is applicable to your targeted event). Thanks and thanks for letting us peek behind the velvet curtain of being a pro-rider.

Nice to know even Pro's can struggle to eat and drink going hard on a climb, but I'm just an old cripple so every climb is hard 🤪

When we limit carbs our TSH goes up and weight gets REALLY hard to keep down.

It's always the guys who limit carbs who struggle the most with being as lean as me and my athletes 😆😆

I remember reading, I think Kimmage wrote it, about Sean Yates and his weight loss regime... a coffee and tart in the morning, 4-5 hours training, afternoon of volleyball or sunbaking and a pizza for tea, and only keeping water in the flat, no food... oh and the disapproving stares from other pros when Paul had a second croissant at the start of a race stage...

Be interesting to see how good a mechanic pro cyclists are. What repairs & fixes they are confident in doing & who’s the best & who’s the worst on ISN.
