I quit my job at AWS...

So... I just left my job as an Associate Solutions Architect at AWS.

This has been one of the toughest career decisions to make, but I decided to quit AWS to focus on the Tech With Lucy business and become a "full-time YouTuber".

In this video, I explain the reasons why I chose to pursue YouTube full-time, instead of just doing it as a side hobby.

Good for you Lucy! I've been an SA at AWS for 5 years, and am in my late 30s. So perhaps have a little perspective. I travelled widely and had many adventures in my 20s, but my only regret is that I didn't quit my job more often. The consequences of failure in your early 20s is so low, the risks are almost all upside. As you get older, your options tend to narrow, and perhaps the stability of working in large a enterprise like AWS makes sense, but you have so many years for this. So, enjoy the freedom! Do everything, do nothing, fail, succeed, repeat or don't. The gift you have at 23 is endless possibility, how lucky you are to realise this so early.
