I can relate to all of this but I'll give a perspective from someone a little older. I'm 41 and I left my last position working for someone else back in my 20s. I saw your other video and your story is almost identical to my own. I started my career right out of college in an amazing position, at a great company. Five years into my career, I was sitting in a pointless weekly Monday morning status meeting and all I could think was "this is wasting my life." I got up, walked back to my desk and wrote my resignation. I started my business the next day.

But I was ready. I had savings. I had leads on contract work I could dive right into. I had a business plan I'd been working on for months. That was just the day I'd officially had enough.

I did have a marriage, a kid on the way, and a brand new home. But I was prepared. I always tell my friends about how prepared I was when they talk about quitting their jobs. But it's completely possible. I actually did it the exact same way my dad did. And my life as a kid was better because I had a dad who worked for himself and I wanted that same life for my kids. 13.5 years since I turned in that resignation and it's still going great.

It’s 2021, if your job isn’t giving you that satisfaction and fulfillment, time to move on. Life’s too short and unpredictable to stay in a job you’re not happy with 🤨🧐

I want to quit everyday because it seems like every company I worked for(especially the current one) hired or has the worst upper management, and I wonder how some of these companies started with such disorganization.

Balancing gratitude without settling is definitely a helpful tool for the journey.

At work, many of us are forced to be around people we would not let in our circle if we had a choice. That’s the main reason working at a company can suck. IMO. I long for freedom from this, and am trying to figure out how to how to retire early.

You have to carefully assess yourself. This is my weekly topic for my own subscribers. Career. One thing that can really bring a person into depression is 40 hours a week of hating their job. The job is literally almost half of the waking life. The problem many people have is that they have a craving for security. The person will tolerate being unhappy if that is their normality. People would rather have secure bitterness than the fear of stepping off the cliff. The fact is that you can change your career anytime. At 40 or 50. I once knew a car salesman of 30 years who did really well but started to hate his job--so became a nurse at 57. He is now a travel contractor. His friends told him he would be 57 by the time he got licensed as an RN. He told them he would be 57 anyway. So he will now spend the next ten years doing something he likes instead of something he hates. But you have to decide if it is life on the sea you hate or just that ship you're traveling on. In other words--do you hate your trade or just the company you're at? But whatever you aren't happy with you must change and continue to advance yourself. Hope this helps someone---Charles.

Amen. I'm so sick of working in a restaurant. I get constantly burnt out and am anxious, I snap off and am depressed. Overworked. Never work in a bar.
