Anxiety, deep breathes, depression, having a negative mindset, white hairs, verge of tears, isolation, low energy, and not feeling like myself. I quit today.

Extreme fatigue, low energy, negativity, feel like crying all the time. Also, heart racing. I quit my job without any job offer and not sure if it was a good idea considering future.

Migraine headaches, gastrointestinal issues, Weight loss/no appetite (eating once a day or less), nosebleeds, sleeplessness, lashing out (ashamedly!) at my kids and my spouse, smoking more, drinking more. The list could really go in forever. I sent my resignation email/letter a few minutes ago. Thank you for this video. Like seriously

My co-workers and managers are usually the ones that stress me out a lot at work. Sometimes it is hard working around toxic people.

Ever had any days where you just absolutely loathed the work you were doing so much and felt so hopelessly stuck in your situation that you thought you were going to pass out? That was me yesterday.

Extreme fatigue can also be another sign of crippling stress and burnout.

I know this video is a year old, but my goodness perfect timing for me, as I was having intense stress due to this job, and I knew in my heart I needed to resign. For the first time in my 52 years I sent my resignation via email for that same day being my last day. I usually can make it at least a year, but there was no way for this one. Friday was my last day. Thanks for making me not feel so alone!! 😊

I put my 2 weeks today, and instantly, my mood changed for the better. Since starting my job 5 months ago, I have become pre diabetic, anemic, and abnormal ekg. I haven't been able to sleep. I've been depressed, anxious, and increased anxiety. I feel free

For me, nausea, headaches, chronic throat infections, chronic eye styes, and I get an itchy forehead. I noticed majority of the symptoms happened at work and during stressful times. During the weekends or after work, I'm completely fine. What I hate most though is that my coworkers didn't believe me when I tell them I feel unwell. It got so bad, that I had to sarcastically say I didn't know that you knew my body better than me. But since I decided I'm going to leave my job, I have not had any of those issues. It's the job, it's not me.

"Unable to sleep at night" also includes bad dreams and dreams that bring up past trauma(s).

This is a very good video on the topic!

omg yes. gastrointestinal issues, anxiety, hair loss, bad eating, troubles with fallings asleep, not enjoying life, conversations and no quality time spent with my loved ones just because I was on the wrong path for like 5 years. now everything's got better, especially my communication with others, my sleep and my stomach aches disappeared. Now I know that I only have those symptoms when I'm not in a good place for me or I'm doing something for the first time and it stresses me out and I understand why I was crying all the time and feeling so down... I just used to think that life was like that for everybody and I was weak, but it turned out I was not doing what I was meant to do and yeah. It's better to know when to quit and build resilience instead of sticking to unhealthy ways just because it's something that you already know.

This is awful! The fact is, working for someone else who wants more and more and more and no pay increase for the more and more they ask for should be illegal.

I know this is two years old, but this is a sign for me. Irregular cycles, no concentration, blank stares and my hair is falling out. Thank you for bringing this issue of burnout to the mainstream!!

I don’t know if this happens to anyone else but I get dry heaves in the morning. Awful anxiety. Bad attitude, resentful, angry.

Currently, I’m waking up in the middle of the night shaking with anger and anxiety. I’m pissed that I’m still in this job, but I’m 4 months out from the day I can put in my 2 weeks. It’s time for me to go and I know it in my bones at this point: I’m not enjoying the work that I’m doing, I’m not enjoying my co-workers, I’m not enjoying working with our clients. I’ve taken the time to break down all the positives and negatives in my life and the one thing that brings it all down is my job. Everything else is great.

I have my plan to leave. It just can’t get here fast enough.

I've had some of these symptoms after I tried several ways to try to deal with a toxic situation at work. When I started losing a lot of hair, I realized I had to quit. Tomorrow is my last day.

Anxiety, panick attacks, stomach sounds, hands uncontrollable shaking, sweating uncontrollably even when the weather is not even hot out of fear, having constant fear, the voice cracking in hard situations, finding it hard to breathe normally, depression, not being able to sleep even by being sleepy just out of anxiety of the morning next going again to work, talking fast and anxiously, heart racing, eyes almost tear up in hard situations uncontrollably, not being able to walk comfortably there even though trying, overthinking, being paranoid of if it's done any mistake unporpously, the voice repeating the same words uncontrollably whenever feel uncomfortable to talk with a certain coworker or boss, loss of weigh because of working with no eat breaks for hours

That's my situation

I had some of your symptoms and told my bosses about it. They didn't give a shit until my last week and thought I was over reaching. Seeing them panic before my last day proved even further that it was a dumpster fire.

I hope you are feeling better. My co-workers hair was also falling out.

It is so true that this is hard for others who have not experienced it to understand. It’s amazing the depth of how stress can manifest physically. I’m using PTO just to go to more doctors to try to get help. It is frustrating. I finally gave notice when the doctors would no longer allow me to ignore it. Now comes the tremendous guilt for leaving the company short handed. 😢
