We are often asked how we use different Microsoft apps in our work, so we've put together a series to show you. This is the last of the series and in this episode we'll show you how we use Microsoft To Do at Collaboration Coach.

If you want to get up and running in To Do, we have a course called To Do Essentials in our online school. Click here for more details:

I really like the flagged email list. It helps to 'park' the important mails that need follow up.

At approximately the 2:30 mark, Matt says " ... so you can see its a big old list ...".

A 'big old list' takes way too much time to organize and review.

I have used Outlook 'Tasks' for decades. I organize my work by Client, Category, Sub-Category, and Tasks, specifically to avoid the 'big old list'. At a glance I can see what is outstanding for each Client and who the person is assigned to each Task, as is a due date and current status. Maybe the answer is 'hiding in plain sight' and I have yet to find it. But I fail to see the features that allow for different 'levels' of organization. Possibly the answer can be found at the 2:50 mark wherein a reference is made to "...Custom Lists...", but it was only a brief mention.

Nonetheless, thank you for your efforts .. I am new to the Channel and see many interesting topics.

Matt - Excellent Video. I like the functionality of To Do but haven't totally committed to it yet. One thing I would like to see is the ability to add my meetings (scheduled in Outlook) to 'My Day'. That would truly round out everything that I have to do in that day. I've poked around a bit but have not found a way to enable that. Are you aware of any way to do this?
