i basically listen to my body when i need food, even after a workout. if i'm not starving after a workout, i will not eat. i might eat like cottage cheese an hour after my workout. honestly i'm hardly ever hungry after a workout, especially if i ate properly throughout the day. the only thing i will make myself have is water :))

Well said! Too many people live off supplements religiously expecting insane gains. Leave that to the Pro bodybuilders, get a great natural body and save your money. The tiny amount of gains you will get are not really worth it. Now I do like to have a plant-based protein powder mainly because the Vega one I use is delicious in shakes :)

There is only one season in which I can eat the amount of protein that my body requires to obtain my goals and that is winter. During the rest of the year, for me, as it is much warmer, I can't eat that much, especially summer with such heat. These are the periods in which I have 50% of my protein from shakes and for me it works amazingly. This is not just post workout, this is also for breakfast and even before going to bed. I would do the same throughout winter but I also want to have hot meals.

High amounts of protein and also sugar spike insulin which put your body in an anabolic state. Bad if you are overweight, sedentary or have diabetes...but excellent for healthy people immediately after a workout. Spiking insulin too often leads to insulin resistance which is super dangerous so choose your moments carefully.

i think it's just a good way to down 50g of protein in 30 seconds that i can prep the night before. instead of having to cook a bunch of eggs and bacon or w/e.

I normally eat high protein foods like grilled chicken or fish like salmon or ven peanut butter.. but at times I consume shakes... iv been doing the protein "Planta" from ambrosia collective... supposed to be grassfed..

I'm normally fasting on a 16/8 and I wrkout during fast then consume a meal with high protein or shake...

My question is how long after workout? And me not consuming it will it hurt my gains?

Maybe it will or won't build more muscle but you get a much better pump.

I’m a new subscriber. Thank you for the content. I want to start intermittent fasting, but I work out in the morning and usually have a protein shake afterwards. So if I give myself about a four to five hour window for my intake of food in the afternoon, what you are saying it would be alright?

This channel is amazing. The artificial sweeteners are the worst thing about those protein shakes. They're terrible for your organs, very damaging for the liver and kidneys.

I checked out Legions thrive. It’s a lot of pea, rice and hemp derived proteins. Question one: does the blend of these various sources equal the amino acid profile of a stereotypical whey protein? Two: do you have any other companies that you fell positive that are non Dairy. Question three and most import net: HOW CAN YOU TELL IF YOU HAVE A WORK OR PARASITE.

You don’t need one! Or any Whey. Just good whole foods and lots of good fats! Avocado 🥑 a day, have plenty of olive oil on your salad. I have three whole eggs every day. All nuts. It takes 24 hours to process one egg. Your body produces around the equivalent of 13 eggs in cholesterol everyday. The myth that cholesterol is bad is another subject. Cholesterol is a good guy. The mix is critical. Hdl/triglycerides- a ratio of one or under is optimal.
I fast everyday, mix it up, usual 16 hours. This is a game changer. You control the king hormone Insulin. Maximise growth hormone. Ghrelin hunger hormone in balance. Eat well to in eating window and plenty of good calories to keep leptin healthy. If people only knew what these 4 important hormones were doing when they are eating and not eating it’s like gold! The industry and pharma world do not want people to be lean and strong, healthy as there no money in it.
I train at home chin up bar. Simple heavy weighted rucksack. Burpees bodyweight. Lift heavy things in garden. Crawl jump move. Tabata protocol. Don’t need gyms or free weights. Talk to a roofer or scaffolder about strength and functional training. I’m 52 and most days do 40 burpees in one go. Not easy! Lots of small one or two minutes of training lots of times every day adds up to beast mode. No more long sessions for me. The 15 mins that some people take to go to gym I’ve finished my training.
Keep up the good work guys. Great videos cutting through the bullshit. We all learn by mistakes. I look back at my 70 miles a week running as crazy. I don’t run anymore. I always running for buses and walking loads. That low level stuff is good. Then I add in ‘running away from the dinosaur’ training - full on the HIIT training eg the 40 burpees etc.
I test my bp which is normal 120/80, get a fasting blood test every 2 years through doctor. Know hdl/triglyceride ratio. Mine is 0.88. Atb Jas 😎💪👍🏽👍🏽
