Bio: Ruslan KD is a Christian YouTuber of Armenian descent who was a refugee from Baku, Azerbaijan, before moving to the United States as a child. He started his YouTube channel in the mid-2010s, which has since grown into a popular platform for discussing faith, lifestyle, and music. Known for his insightful commentary on Christian living, culture, and personal development, Ruslan has built a community of followers who value his thoughtful approach to contemporary issues. In addition to his YouTube presence, Ruslan is a speaker, author, and advocate for godly ambition, often addressing topics related to leadership, mental health, and the integration of faith in everyday life.

Our mission is to encourage, empower, and inspire people to live a life that Blesses God, in accordance with His word. As the Psalmist proclaims, "Bless God in the great congregation, the Lord, O you who are of Israel's fountain" (Psalm 68:26 ESV), and "Every day will I bless Thee; and I will praise Thy name forever and ever" (Psalm 145:2 KJV). Just as Simeon, after encountering Jesus, "took him up in his arms and blessed God" (Luke 2:28 ESV), we seek to lead others in a life of stewardship, relevant engagement, and practical living that honors and blesses the Lord.

To Calvinists:
2 Cor. 4:4 talks about Satan blinding the minds of unbelievers so they will not see the light of the Gospel. Why would Satan need to blind those who are spiritually blind already? Is this a double blinding?

Why does God call people to choose life and to humble themselves? Could it be that humans have the ability to do this, but the will to do this is not what grants regeneration or salvation?

Why would God command all men to repent (Acts 17:30) if they can't unless God aids them by granting regeneration?

Why do so many Calvinists struggle with assurance?

Why is there not one bible verse that explicitly states that regeneration precedes faith?

Why does Ephesians 1:13 tell us that we hear and believe before we are sealed with the Holy Spirit?

If God tells us that his nature is that he cannot lie, then why would it appear he has a revealed will in Scripture (all can come: Jesus will draw all men to Himself; whosoever believes) but He has this secret will that only the elect can come?

I was a Calvinist for 7 years but rejected it a little over a year now. It is crazy hearing what Calvinism teaches now. I can't believe I never saw it before. Thank you for having Leighton on! He is such a light!

I like how I heard this orthodox priest say it “we believe babies are born with a corruptible soul not a corrupted soul”

LOVE LOVE LOVE Leighton Flowers. These Calvinists in the comments are big mad... but Calvinism makes God the author of evil and there's no way around that.

Predestination seems prideful in nature to me... "I have been pre-ordained to go to heaven no matter what i do. If you don't agree with me then god didn't chose you"... there leaves little room for self reflection. If you can't throw away your salvation then why did Satan fall away? Why do we even preach the gospel to begin with? If all people can't be saved then why does any of it matter?

I still read some of MacArthur’s commentaries until recently. Once he doubled down on the blood doesn’t save I was done.

In 2 Peter 3:9, it states that God's will is for all* to come to repentance. If God chooses who is saved and who isn't...then why isn't everyone saved?

The answer: God offers salvation to all. God loves us too much to force us to do believe in Him. God gives us the choice to accept or reject His gift of salvation that He offers to all* people.

Read Ephesians 2. If we are saved by faith and not our works...that makes it clear that faith is not* a work

calvinism doesn't say freewill doesn't exist. that's a misrepresentation. it also doesn't say there's no need to witness. we're commanded to be to tool God uses to expand the kingdom.

Calvinism is unbiblical because it starts with a philosophical presupposition called determinism. Which is then read INTO the scriptures. It subsequently causes all kinds of contradictions and leads to many logical conclusions that make God an evil monster. Determinism can be described simply as thus: "God does EVERYTHING. God controls EVERYTHING. There isn't even a rogue molecule." Unfortunately, this leads to some dark conclusions about sin and whether God controls or "Ordains" evil. It also leads to a very dizzying realization about reality.

Someone may respond to this comment and tell me why I'm wrong. Here's the problem. IF Calvinism is true, then God "ordained" their response. But God also "ordained" my entire comment to begin with. You therefore have God "ordaining" against something he "ordained."

I did what God "ordained" me to do, and you're responding to me as to why im wrong, as God "ordained" you to do.

It's dizzying.

If you're a "compatiblist, " it's exactly the same thing with an extra step. "I did what was my greatest desire, " which God "ordained" me to have. You don't get a free pass. It's just as deterministic.

It seems that a lot of people in the comment section disagree with Flowers or thinks he's straw manning. Does anyone have any concrete examples that support this?

I've watched his content and he is very robust in his citations and often reckons with literal quotes from Calvin himself.

Acts 13:48 ...those appointed to eternal life, believed...
Romans 3 ...total depravity
all opinions but no Scripture to back it up

the issue with his analogy is that Ephesians 2 states that all men are "dead in their trespasses and sins"...when you give the warning about the storm, you are talking to dead people. Unless God raises the dead, grants life to dead sinners, they will not believe.

why does anyone believe the gospel? why are you saved and many reject it? I've heard Arminians tell me that because they are "smarter", but the Bible calls the gospel foolishness.

Maybe you believed because God gave you a new heart; a heart that had only one direction...one that involved loving Him. He gets the glory and not us. Soli Deo gloria

There wasn’t one biblical defense in this video as to why Calvinism isn’t correct. There was only secular thought and an *2 opinions* not actually biblical defense or evidence from the Bible.

Gonna echo the other voices asking to have a “Calvinist” on. That term itself is a red flag for me… I go to a Presbyterian church and have never heard anyone call themselves a Calvinist. Everyone says “Reformed.” Whenever I see “Calvinist” I brace myself for an uncharitable take lol.

I think critics use the wrong framework for viewing free will. God being sovereign doesn’t make us robots or Him a tyrant. Our free will can exist subordinated to God’s plan. I won’t claim there aren’t paradoxes or even elements of mystery for me.

But i think you get those difficulties from either side. Either we don’t possess that libertarian free will he mentions OR God’s not totally sovereign (He can’t intervene effectively enough to save everyone) OR God’s not totally good (He could have intervened in each person’s life in such a way that they’re convinced, but chose not to).

Personally, the thought of not having this absolute, total free will is easiest for me to reconcile Biblically, but I am still learning!

Ultimately, we know His mercy and justice are perfect, even if we don’t understand it fully! Thanks for the video.

God is outside of time and space. We, in this present fallen incarnation, are within time and space. God created us with free will. We make choices during our lifetime until the day we die. God is omniscient because He has seen every choice we have made or will make because he is outside of time. This does not mean that we do not have free will, it is simply a matter of perspective. Imagine we are a line on a paper. One dot for when we enter, one dot for when we leave. Our line may branch may times along the way, but it ultimately ends. God is the person observing the line on the paper. He has seen every turn, every choice, and since he is outside of time he can see the first day of our life to the last like a timeline on a video. He can certainly influence us, and praise God that He is willing to, but we make the choices and are thus accountable for them. I thank God that He was willing to enter time and dwell among us, as one of us, and ultimately pay the fine for all of our transgressions as only He could. God is just, and He is also good, but most of all He is holy. We are born dead in our sin, the sons and daughters of Adam. Though by one man we are destined to die to our sins, through another we are given the right to become children of God. On this I place my faith, on Him, on Jesus Christ the one and only son of the true and living God.
