This is a great idea. I can see a need but ad can be misleading. When one does chest compressions ribs can be broken but rarely breaks in using the Heimlich maneuver. The product is as effective as someone using it and equally as ineffective if not used correctly- Much the same as Heimlich maneuver. Similarly this has a mask that's required to be completely sealed over the mouth and nose . If the mask isn't properly held or sealed I'd presume there would be an air leak and suction cant be performed much the way one needs to ensure the seal when performing bag mask respirations in CPR. The other downside is the probability of someone actually having this in their bag at all times. Perhaps this is a great idea for home bound individuals whom are morbid obese, in homes with those with special needs especially with a home with someone with dysphasia and stores or companies where a first aid kit is required on property. Basic CPR and Heimlich should be taught in middle school as a general education class in health and kids should be certified in CPR / AED use and by graduating high school. If we can teach sex Education in 6th and 7th grade there is no reason this shouldn't teach these skills to children and empower them.

Place one next to every fire extinguisher and use proper signage like an AED . Great device guys, as we say, if it saves one life, it's worth it.

This seems contrary to what you want to accomplish. The initial set of the device requires a pump down which essentially pushes the choking particle down further.
