Thank you lifevac. I just used it tonight to clear food from my esophagus. Ive dealt with food getting stuck due to gerd for years. Usually a big gulp of water pushes the food down. Tonight was a different story. Drinking just couldnt push it down. My life grabbed the lifevac and i used it on myself. It works like a plunger. A few quick pumps moved the food enough where i could drink and get the food down. Instant relief!

I just watched a police officer on one of the YouTube videos who went to a house where the child was choking on a hard lolly. The child was limp, and I don't think he had long left, but the officer got this tool out of his boot and administered it. He did it twice, and the kid completely recovered. He came around and asked for some water. The family and poor mother were beside themselves in a panic. I could relate to this, as it happened to me when looking after one of my grandsons. He had found a button on the floor and was choking on it. I was home alone and was in sheer panic; he was completely limp, and his lips were turning blue. I know this is not the right thing to do, but I put my fingers down his throat, trying to get him to gag, turned him over, and thank heavens the button flew out. I really wish I had one of these devices in the home when it happened. It still traumatises me to this day thinking about it, even though he is now fourteen years old and healthy.

Im loading this in my diaper bag now. Just reviewing the video so i know what to do incase of an emergency. I went to the website and bought the offer 3 for the price of 1. I gave 1 as a gift for a babyshower. The second will stay home and the 3rd in the diaper bag

Please do not use this on anyone if they are choking (you are forcing the object into their lungs). There are effective ways to deal with this problem. The majority of choking is caused by tracheal blockage, and only rarely occurs from esophageal blockage.
