Has anyone actually used this device for a person chocking and did it work ? Also what are the cons, if any, using on a child or senior citizen ?

Why didnt you mention that when the himelich is impossible due to someone being beddriddrn? And heavy?

Are there risks? Like risk of ear damage from the suction via eustachian tubes or damage to lungs? I dont understand the tongue issue the doctor mentioned. Should the Heimlich be tried first?

Get on it FDA and approve something. Best to learn the heimlich but have a backup just in case. Far better to have something then be put in a desperate situation

The 2 devices are completely different in their operation and risk profile. Where is the evidence for harm or concern of using Lifevac on young children? Plenty about harm when using Heimlich on small children and zero evidence of harm with LifeVac.

The one thing that concerns me is putting that tube in the esophagus instead of the trachea.
