Does John 3:16 mention baptism? It says “ whoever believes”, not who ever is baptized.

Your teachings of baptism is exactly my understanding from reading and studying out the Word of God! I have gone to so many “Christian “ churches here in SoCal and every single one takes the position to either say a “sinners prayer” or stand up and say “I believe “, and you will be saved. I have challenged and shown so many scriptures that support my understanding that f baptism and humbly asked the pastors to show me how I’m wrong through scriptures and surprisingly, every one of them immediately become defensive, citing how the majority of Christians churches believe the same as them, and that I am in the minority (as if that matters), or dismiss me as just wanting to argue or be confrontational. It’s sad to see. The congregation just accepts their theology to be true. 🙏

Baptism is the norm after being saved. It’s your proclamation to God. It’s not required for salvation. Jesus did not get crucified to have a sinful man as a barrier for entry to His kingdom.

Hello, I have been loving your channel. I’ve been such a blessing. I posted a question another video, but I’ve been exhausted. Going through different teachings. They’re so much discord within the body of Christ on the topic of baptism. A part of me believes that baptism is necessary for salvation as in it’s a command by Lord Jesus, and it is part of actually becoming a Christian the only verse I wanted to know if you could explain 1 Peter 3 21. I actually used to think this was one of the strongest points for baptism. I did a study in the Concordance and there was one part that did confuse me. It was the words “of the filth” I used to think as I read in many versus this was symbolic of a bath, but then when I looked up the words in the Concordance it’s actually rhupos G4509. Definition of uncertain affinity, dirt that is (moral) depravity - filth, dirt
This leaves me a bit confused as this is making it sound as a baptism is not used for laying aside depravity of the flesh, but rather in good conscience appeal to God it’s a bit confusing and this is a point that I’ve heard a lot of people point in return to refute the same passage for water baptism as a genuine part of salvation. I was wondering if you can explain it I still am much on the side of believing baptism is part of salvation theres a lot of passages where it implies its necessary, but this one in particular did confuse me although the more I start to look at the passage, why would the apostle Peter even say baptism saves is the question if all it is is something in good conscience through the resurrection of Christ doesn’t make much sense to me. It’s as if people who make the statement or saying that baptism is not the remission of sins though Peter himself says this and Acts 2 38 but it’s rather an act in good conscience to appeal to God through the resurrection of Christ by why would the apostle Peter then say baptism now saves you if indeed it’s just an act of obedience in good conscience that you now have because you believe in the resurrection of Christ. it’s almost as if they’re agreeing this act of obedience does save you even though it’s not in their minds for the remission of sins, but an active good conscience that saves through water baptism, but they don’t seem to address the statements that Peter made that the water is reflective and baptism that saves you. They’re just trying to dispute the fact that it’s not for remission of sins? confusing I would love your interpretation?

Jesus got baptized for a different purpose Those who believe in Jesus is already baptized in the spirit so you dont need to be dunked in water for salvation just believing is enough. I depend on Christ not Man for salvation.

How does one get baptized by the Holy Spirit? And is that considered being born again? Is being born in Christ also being baptized by the Holy Spirit?

Many other places Jesus doesn't mention the baptism only belief. In those times baptism was a public symbol easy to understand and still is a good idea but doesn't save nor proof of salvation. Furthermore, in THAT SAME verse you quote the last part Jesus says "whomever does not believe will be condemned"
So following your own logic Jesus is now saying one only needs to believe to not be condemned.

Disciples, used without a qualifier, ALWAYS means disciples of Christ in the NT.. In fact, according to scripture, post resurrection, disciples and Christians could be used interchangeably! John pointed his followers to Jesus and was imprisoned or dead throughout most all of Jesus’s ministry.. it makes zero sense - they followed John and listened to his message, then what?.. did nothing until after Jesus’s resurrection? They certainly were at one time disciples of John, who went on to follow Christ.. The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.. They were Christians, they were disciples, they had the fullness of the gospel explained to them and were baptized EIS (with reference to) Christ.

For your view to hold, you have to say these believers - these disciples - who were called Christians - were condemned and bound for hell at the time they were being referred to as disciples..

That makes about as much sense as saying that a believer who was filled with the Spirit, praising God and speaking in tongues - because the Holy Spirit has purified their hearts by faith - were also bound for hell while that was happening… oh, never mind.. you believe that too haha

1 Corinthians 1:17 KJV for Christ sent me not to baptize but to preach the gospel not with wisdom of words lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV

1 Moreover brethren I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you which also ye have received and wherein ye stand

2 by which also ye are saved if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you unless ye have believed in vain

3 for I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures

4 and that he was buried and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures

I guess Moses, David, Daniel, Elijah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, etc. etc. weren’t saved then yikes 🤦‍♂️ so much for ALL scripture being profitable for instruction, reproof, and training in righteousness.
