Good man Leon, 3 years sober, many previous attempts to stop the madness that is alcohol, your videos and stratergies have been instrumental to maintain my sobriety, what was I thinking for 35 years, well done and thanks from the bottom of my heart, life is an amazing place to be with the absence of this socially and governmentally promoted poison …I hope you and ambassador’s of sobriety like yourself help many more to do the same as me

One month totally sober!
Thank you so much, Leon. Your videos are precious and very encouraging.
And like you say: once you realize alcohol will only bring you meaningless experiences, it becomes quite easy to quit drinking

It's crazy how dangerous alcohol is while being so easily available and socially acceptable! The life of an alcoholic is a complete misery and to actually choose that life would be total insanity! Not drinking means to feel lonely, but it’s so worth it. A Big Well Done to everyone who has given up alcohol! Its not easy especially in social situations. Thanks for the inspiring video Leon!👋

40 yo. I have never had problems with alcohol, just drinking now and then on social gatherings. My alcohol intake on a regular month could be the equivalent of 1 bottle of wine and a couple of beers. It is very seldom I drink too much. Some big party once a year maybe.

Still, I decided to quit drinking 3 months ago. It just seems the best decision to take: even not perceiving alcohol as a problem for me, it brings little no no positive things in my life while it makes my other goals more difficult to achieve (stay in shape, not oversleep on Saturdays and Sundays, not regret saying anything...).

So far I have encountered clear resistance in my circles to me not having "even just one beer". People seem to really have a problem getting around somebody who freely decides not to drink.

I started surfing two years ago. One of the unforeseen benefits is now I have a great reason to plan vacations with minimal alcohol involved. It doesn’t have to be surfing for everyone, but maybe other ppl could take up hobbies like hiking, mountain biking etc.

I've been binge drinking 5 pints per day for 32 years. How will I get over the shakes and sweats when I quit? I've tried meds that are supposed to make anyone stop drinking, and they made me miserable when I didn't drink for 4 days. It took all joy away from me, not drinking. I'm physically addicted to alcohol as it runs in my family DNA. I have to turn to God for help. I'll not drink alcohol today. I can drink NA 🍺 that tastes like the real thing without the poison. I've already seen 2 long-time friends of mine die from alcohol. It's horrible. The way looked in hospital was shocking. Swollen, bloated, and jaundice and unable to move out speak. Stuck in a bed and hooked up to machines dying in their 40s. How terrible. Meanwhile. I get tested every year for organ damage, and all tests show that my body is functioning like I've never drank alcohol. I thank God for that, and I think if I don't cut down to just 6 pints per week. I fear God may get mad at me and let me die. I'm going to cut down now. I already made it to drinking every other day. I need to cut down a lot more.

Oh yeah. It's so hard to live in a big city without alcohol ads saying drink this alcohol or that alcohol to be fun and social. Seeing those ads all my life made my young self think it's ok because it's legal. I was able to get myself off all drugs 2 weeks before I turned 20. I can do this. 🙏🏿🙏🏽🙏🏻🙏🏼

Starting my journey today. I have an alcoholic friend and I finally cut him off as I felt like he was badly enabling me and he also said that I should continue to drink alcohol. I even threatened to throw a glass at him last weekend and he forgave me by recommending we go to the pub the next day for more beers. Alcohol made me aggressive and I always felt depressed after the 6th pint in a night. I played it off as not a problem as I ‘only’ drank 2-3 times a week so not an ‘alcoholic’ yet when I did drink, I would drink 6-8 pints and skip dinner

Only 4 days sober. Tired of the rollercoaster!!. Not only me, but everyone is such a better person without alcohol. About to possibly lose my job, turn 40, but the road ahead will only get better without alcohol 🎉.

Leon, you are half my age and you continue to inspire and keep me focused. Your reframing did the trick for me. My wife is in the medical profession and thinks you do a great job of explaining the complex medical aspects of how alcohol affects us in simple lay mans terms. Keep up the great work. We subscribe and enjoy your short informative videos. Dave from Nova Scotia, Canada

I was doing good and sober for 20 days and then I screwed up on the 21 Day. I understand that we're not supposed to have some condemnation on ourselves but I feel it. I understand that it was my choice to do it. I don't believe that having a bad drinking Behavior has to do with genetics. I believe in this program. I just think that I need to believe in myself. And it's so damn hard and that's on me because we have the freedom to make a choice. I just made the wrong one.
