I have a 24kg bell that I swing tabata style. 20 seconds on 10 off until failure. In combination with intermittent fasting and cleaning up my diet i Lost a ridiculous amount of weight and somehow my facial got thicker and fuller. Its not puberty because im 30 years old. Gonna move up to a 32kg bell soon.

I'm soon to be 47yo, & a poor diet & relatively sedentary lifestyle got me a good 60ish lbs overweight. I've already got a bad back that I have to mitigate with medication & procedures that use radio waves to ablate nerves within my lower back. I've very recently (8-days ago) decided, while watching a Chris Pine movie late at night, that my pain mitigation measures were indeed working well enough for me to get back into shape & catch up to Pine...& I want to be in stellar boy-band hot shape, not simply lose weight. The first few days were bands, squats, & dumbbells that I already had at the house. I bought a 30lbs kettlebell that I've been using for the past few days, & I can already see that this is what's going to get me there. I'm of course just learning the basics, but I've got the swing & goblit squat down pretty well already, & I'm watching videos to learn other stuff...I've asked my lovely wife to get a lighter & a heavier kettlebell for my upcoming B-Day, & the crazy thing is that I, including my lower back, feel better already. I'll always have chronic pain, this won't get rid of it, but I already feel so much better from starting to work out again (first time in nearly a decade due to my back & the fear surrounding it...I used to be in good shape, not great). A big key is that I've simultaneously altered my diet, cutting out 90+% of the sugar intake, amongst some other common sense tweaks, & I'm already down 11lbs & starting to feel strong again. My biggest obstacle now is finding a good routine & getting enough rest, as I tend to push myself hard once I've decided it's on, but I've never done this at a bad-back-47 before. I'll have to figure that part out, & listen to my body....that old cliché, but the YouTubes is such a great freaking resource - thank you for your videos, they do help actual people, in objective reality...you deserve a medal or something, ya know, a modest medal...let's not go crazy.

My best Turkish Getup was 88lbs 40kg at age 57. Kettlebells along with stretching will prolong your overall health & Longevity. Have also started training with clubs & maces last 2 years

I started doing KB swings 6 weeks ago now. 100 swings a day with a 30lb KB plus, three times a week I do basic weight lifting after my swings. Then added KB squats into the mix two of the days. I struggle with an auto immune and was riding my bike 7 miles everyday but had to take a break from it so picked up the KB swing just to stay moving. 25 swings rest 30 seconds, repeat until I reach 100. I bumped it up this week to 125 swings everyday and eventually build up to a higher amount of swings then increase weight. I found my heart rate, breathing has improved a lot since sticking to it. I do feel like I have more strength too. I need to work more on my posture but I think I have improved it since starting and focusing on the movement. I do have slight lower back pain, like a tightness standing up straight. I have been laying on the floor to stretch it out and cannot get it to pop or loosen up. Its like it goes away and other times it lingers especially, after sitting down off and on. During the swings I walk around during the 30 seconds. I am trying to focus on using this as a weight loss tool too. I have lost 88 pounds so far from just diet change alone but been throwing in difference excercises to keep things gradually going.

I am using 18kg/c.40lbs doing 210x swings per day in sets of 30-50x. One week in and the increase in my strength, in the gym but even walking up hill, is really noticeable.

Hi, I’ve recently worked up to the double kettlebell swing outside the legs using 2x24kg, 200 a day, 5x40 reps. I’ve definitely noticed an increase in power. I would definitely recommend the double swing 👍🏼

I've been working out out quite a wile and I started with 79 lbs kettle bells just recently and it's been quite the journey thus far. I love hearing the benefits as far as these studies go, as I am already sold after feeling the muscle soreness from the amount of muscles used after the first 2 sessions. Can only go up from here. Thanks for sharing this video, it's much appreciated.

I'm using a 30lb kettlebell, used a 20lbs at first but was a little to light.

I do 3 sets of swings that last about 2 minutes each or until exhaustion.

I want to stay at this 30lb range until I master it with consistency and very high reps. I hear that lighter kettlebell and more reps helps you burn more fat opposed to a heavier kettlebell and lower reps I'm not sure if this is true or not but it's what I'm doing for now.

I haven't counted my swings, but I'd like to think I'm getting anywhere from 35-50 in 2 minutes. Heart rate is usually at 160-175 when starting, and by the time I'm on the 6th minute mark it's at 175-180bpm.

I finish it off with 2 sets of goblet squats or kettlebell ski squats with two 30lbs in each hand. Giving me a quick 10-15 minute workout for my busy life.

I'm a 32 yo male. I currently train with a 40lb kettlebell. Swings are the foundation of my routine but incorporate numerous other KB exercises too. Swings are great but need to be supplemented with other movements. Cleans, presses, rows, snatches, get-ups, halos, one-hand carries along with body weight exercises like sit ups and push ups are my go-tos. Usually aim for 3 sets of each until failure but many of these exercises activate the same muscles so some exercises I may only do 2 sets if I'm just out of energy. I generally try to randomize my routine and sometimes I will focus on one type of movement and do additional sets beyond 3. Beyond actual training, I aim to eat about 100 grams of protein a day. Also I only train with my kettlebells every other day to ensure proper recovery and do other forms of exercise on the other days.

I’m 68. I started going to the gym with a trainer twice a week for two years. Started with KN swings about two weeks ago. I’m amazed at the huge difference. I’m using 40 lbs.
