Wrong. Knees can go forward, depending on how the person is built. The important thing is that it's a hip hinge and thrust and not a squat and lift.

This is nonsense. You can squat Kettlebells instead of hip hinge, and not everyone has a stronger core than legs. Hip hinge might be the traditional way, but it's not the only way!
