Rev:17:8, Eph. 1:4 and other verses show that God chose his people from the foundation of the world. To deny predestination you have to willfully deny scripture.

26 But you do not believe because you are not of My sheep. 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. Thankyou for this vid. Humanism has infiltrated all churches including evangelical churches. The focus being on humans and not on the biblical definition of God. This human focus is typical of Arminianism. " what can you do for God" is their catchphrase. Not " what has God done for you" That is the difference between Arminianism and Calvinism.
Fallen mankind finds it difficult to focus on anything else but itself. Celebrity worship is a good example. Fallen mankind cannot focus on God. There has to be a supernatural intervention from the Divine to break through the bondage of the Flesh. The Gospel is all about what God HAS DONE ( past tense ) through His Son Jesus Christ, not what you can do for God. We need to preach the correct Gospel.

Man does have a will...within his evil nature... He can choose one evil thing over another. A coyote has a will also. That will is going to be expressed within his nature. He is not going to be able to suddenly come up to your face and lick you and cuddle up with you because it's not his nature....

In 1582, Arminius began studying under Theodore Beza at Geneva a Beza being a follower and student of john Calvin
Arminius was asked to counter Dirck Coornherd as he joint the reformation. Coornherd was a Semi Palagian.
After studying Coornherd and Palagius Jacob Arminius started to agree with Dirck Coornherd and brought it out as professor in theology in Leiden Holland. He was opposed strongly by a colleague Franciscus Gomaris as Heretic and Palagianist. The Arminius side was named REMONSTRANDS and Gomaris CONTRA REMONSTRANDS Arminius his real name not latinized was Jacob Hermanszoon became good friends with Coornherd. However bringing out the teaching of palagius like Leighton does, would have cost Arminius his position at the university and no way of earning an income in Holland. So Arminius was very cautious in his words special in writing but less in speaking. Arminius's thoughts were defended by Dirck Coornherd on the Synod of Dordrecht in 1618 10 years after Arminius dead. It was clearly Palagian and condemned as heresy. Arminius full out denied Total depravity and claimed the ability of men to reject or accept the offer of salvation and the ability to become sinless on his own will. I have and read all the works of Arminius. Arminius claimed that when Paul said: "Wretched man I'am' he says that before his conversion and would not say that after his conversion. He also claimed that God’s plan of Salvation came after the fall in Paradise, Otherwise God would be the Author of sin. That would mean Jesus was not the Savior from eternity. A big heresy. The followers now of Arminius have gone much farther than Arminius.
All works of Arminius were forbidden and never printed in Dutch. The first print of his works was in 1875

Mr. Sproul suggests that the Armenian perspective is essentially pagan. Oddly enough the Calvinistic perspective was regarded as pagan prior to Augustine ushering it into the church.

Choice is what you have based on what's presented to you. Freewill is the idea that you can do anything you want, which isn't true.

Hebrews 10:The Just Live by Faith 26For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, ” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” 31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Romans 1:The Just Live by Faith
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest [f]in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—

1 John 5:Knowing the True—Rejecting the False
18 We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.
19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.
20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

2 Thessalonians 2:The Great Apostasy The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The very title of this video shows that Calvinists basically parrot what they are told about those who reject Calvinism..."Arminian". It's like they are still stuck back in the 1500s. This simply shows that they don't bother to take the time to determine what a nonCalvinist believes and lazily (and slanderously) calls them "Arminian". However, it is the Calvinist that is typically ignorant of church history prior to Augustine. If they actually studied what the first christians after the apostles wrote they would find out that it is them who are simply repeating ancient heresies that the pagans (Manichaeans & Stoics) taught because it was Augustine who brought some of their teachings into the church and it is now promoted as Calvinism. Thus, it we would not be off base to call them semi-Stoics or semi-Manichaeans. To verify the truth of what I wrote above simply watch the video in the link below and you will be presented with the scholarly evidence of my claims.

It took me a long time to come out of Calvinism. I used to listen to R.C. Sproul, John Macarthur, John Piper a lot. I began to realize that Calvinist preachers have taken their Calvinism systematic theology to interpret scripture. As opposed to studying scripture to define their systematic approach to theology. They cannot conceive that a Sovereign God would not necessarily preordain and control every choice that each human makes. Yes we are all sinners and need Jesus to be saved. But, the Fall did not take away our ability to believe in a Sovereign God. John 20:30-31, "Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name." Nowhere in scripture does it teach that God has determined who will be saved. Ephesians 1:1-5 teaches that "He chose us in him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ Himself...". Us = "faithful in Christ Jesus" It does not say that He chose who would be the "Faithful in Christ". How did they become the faithful in Christ? Ephesians 1:13 tells us: "In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise..." Paul tells us in Romans 1:16 - "for I am not ashamed of the gospel, for is is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes..." Every person has the ability to believe and repent of their sin. God has chosen those who do, to become the elect and have eternal life. And those who do not believe are without excuse. To me, that is the great mystery...How God can save someone who simply confesses he is a sinner and needs a savior. Eph 2:8 "For by Grace have you been saved through faith, and that (salvation) not of yourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Bless you all...

Calvanism: taking a belief and making the bible fit into it.

Romans 7
[14] For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
[15] For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
[16] If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
[17] Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Eph.2
[1] And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
[2] Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
[3] Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
[4] But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
[5] Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Col.2
[13] And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Sproul is wrong. Calvinism and Arminian have both misunderstood freewill and the free gift of salvation for all. That is right Christ gave himself a ransom for ALL. Just believe the gospel of grace. All is forgiven for all.

Interesting that RC says that other's views are unbiblical yet he never uses a single scripture to back up what he's saying. What I learned is that Calvinists use Calvinism to interpret scripture.

It would be nice to see a video on we’re Calvinist go wrong with God.

At the end of it all I find both Calvinist and Armenians. Do not live by the concept of solos scriptoria.

Both have statements that to them are inspired word of God. That are not in the Bible.
Calvinist are about the worst.
By there traditions they make the word of God of no affect.
Calvinist believe we are not saved by faith but rather by election.
And that is not what the Bible says.

We are saved by grace through faith.
For the just shall live by faith.
For we are the children of Abraham
Through faith. As the faith of Abraham

God is sovereign and his word is sovereign. God spoke what God said is the way it is.
Do not let man take you away from Faith in Gods words.

If God says man has choice. that’s God that said it. Who are you to argue with God?
